Tilt Shift sits firmly left of center, a difficult-to-label square peg that unintentionally fails to fit a pigeonhole. Borrowing from the photography term, Tilt Shift refers to two different types of movement, a selective focus with a large depth of field used to control perception. This can be applied to our music policy, tilting the vertical axis resulting in a sharp area of focus without reducing the depth of field. The selective focus that can be achieved by both tilting and shifting movements, It's compelling because the effect is different from that which you may have become accustomed to. This movement is often used to avoid the convergence of parallel lines, or as we have come to think of it, it’s where the lines blur.

It’s about self-confidence without judgment, giving in completely, sending you into the void, and calling you back to melt into your favorite human.
The tape lies somewhere between oldschool & contemporary hip hop & soul vibes, early 2000s slow jams, trip hop, and RnB classics. It’s meant to set a mood and tell a story, revisiting and cherishing memories, focusing on what I feel is underrated these days: love and intimacy— possibly with a little humorous twist here and there because taking oneself too seriously is overrated.
