In this episode of Merkaba Music, LU TZE shares with us a studio mix titled “Bringers of Dawn”, a selection of originals and remixes from his releases over the past year and a half. Imbued with futuristic landscapes and esoteric messages, this psychedelic dubstep and bass music mix carries Lu Tze’s profound wish for a collective new dawn. LU TZE is an electronic music project by Rodrigo Pereira. At 18, in 1998, he co-founded the psychedelic event organizers Quest4Goa in Portugal. By 1999, he had started DJing and co-founded the chill-out DJ collective Divine Mission, which featured in the lineup of Boom Festival 2000. In 2001, he became a core member of the Psychedelic Dream Temple (PsyDMT) in London, UK, performing extensively at countless psychedelic events across southern England for over a decade. In 2023, Lu Tze released his debut EP on the renowned label Merkaba Music, where he now has three releases.

That’s exactly what happened a month ago at PUREBASSLINE event in Granada, where we first met DJ Pepo (@pepodnb). His closing set on the garden stage was an absolute highlight of the night — powerful, flawlessly structured, and performed with precision. A well-known name in the Spanish Drum & Bass scene, Pepo (@pepodnb) has been shaping his sound since moving to London in 2017. While fully immersed in his main style, his passion for broken beats led him to explore breakbeat, drawing inspiration from legends like Koma & Bones, Backdraft, and Future Funk Squad. Over time, he has developed a distinctive sound that continues to captivate breaks enthusiasts across Andalusia and beyond.

Sofa Beats brings you THE BITZPAN for this episode with a live set featuring tracks from their upcoming single and some older tracks as well.  'The Bitzpan' is a Psychedelic Downtempo / Electronica music project from Athens, Greece.
The artists behind the name are Panos Nikolaou and Yannis Bitzanis
   They use a mixed technique of Digital - Analog equipment to create their own 
personal sound of various soundscapes, atmospheres and downtempo musical designs.
   Overlapping downtempo gender offers the audience a wide musical odyssey ,from chilled to ecstatic grooves.
It's a deeper plunge into the raw analog sound synthesis, an exploration of instruments and technics dialoguing harmonically with each other, an understanding of the physics of sound and a try to blend it.
   The Bitzpan duo combines several times classic psychedelic and techno elements with mid tempo grooves, analog drums, rhythmic basses, trippy modular melodies and organic instrument layers. 
   The journey into electronic music production began back in 2000 and never stopped ever since.
Their official discography started in 2014 on labels such as Sofa Beats (Iboga Records), Iono Music and many more!
