When hope dies, it screams loud. It thrashes, makes itself noticeable, and it tries to convince you that it's worth saving. Joyful, I dance with it anyway - smiling through shattered pieces of my mind, pretending I'm whole again. Every kick, every note, every melody - a pulse of joy ripped from my chest. The sound hurts, but it feels right. For a moment, I think this is healing. But it's just bleeding prettier.

I feel alive again, not forever, not even for an hour but I feel alive. Not healed but ignited. Ready to take on the storm one more time, thinking that this time everything is gonna be okay. 

Oh, how foolish that thought was I now realize. The Void hums my melody, watching quietly. It doesn't hurt me, it doesn't pain me. It waits and studies me. Patient. Fascinated. It waits for longer than I could ever imagine. Like it's waiting for the right note to devour. Yet it makes me feel a rush. Damn, you got me this time. I don't wanna talk to the Void. Not yet.

But I know I already am. Every song is a reply I don't mean to send. A response to the Void. A portrayal of how I feel. The Void knows that and waits for me to crumble, and one day I will.
