From a modern architectural experimentation made to rethink the organization of spaces, the large housing complexes modified our urban landscapes. Cold, atypical and monolithic structures, hard to ignore when you roam the big cities’ streets, even more in their peripheries.

This cold and rough look, as impressive as omnipresent, inspired the composition of the 5 tracks on this EP.

This track was written on the cusp of autumn, reflecting on how the changing in seasons can have such a visceral internal effect on us. I find that every year, the shift between seasons has a huge impact on my mood and outlook, and was in awe of how powerful nature is to move us so much. 'Evergreen' is an acknowledgement of how we have to embrace this, and that - no matter how hard we try - humans are no match for the forces of nature.

“I will carve my name into a golden sky, so the wind can sing it out aloud. And then it can rain.” – Lucy Dreams’ new single delves deep into the realm of vulnerability and the remarkable strength that can be found in revealing one's true self to others. Known for their emotionally charged compositions, the band masterfully weaves a soul-stirring narrative, en passant developing a completely new take on modern Synth pop music, both in terms of style and in terms of music production with their artificial band member Lucy. 

In a poignant moment of personal significance, "Achilles" not only explores the vulnerability within us all but also marks a historic milestone for the band as singer David for the first time takes off the mask he has been wearing since the inception of the band. This symbolic act of unmasking adds a profoundly personal layer to the song, emphasizing the power of authenticity.

“Clarity” is jazz-grunge/alternative r&b quartet Xinxin’s latest single, to be released November 11, 2023. Written over the course of several interstate trips while the band was split geographically (half living in Los Angeles, California; half in Portland, Oregon), Xinxin’s new offering explores the perspective that comes with distance and time. Separated for years, the group was ultimately strengthened by the time apart, which brought into focus their mutual commitment to and love for the project.

“Clarity” begins as a meditation on stillness and immobility in the midst of perpetual motion, before developing into an energetic and cathartic chorus where understanding, acceptance, and appreciation come into view. Ablaza vulnerably muses, “I need you, but sometimes I push away / but I’m grateful that you still choose to stay.” Musically, the song demonstrates the group’s diverse influences, including r&b, rock, and jazz.
