Orlando Voorn is one of the first European musicians to establish a vital link with Detroit, and since the end of the 80s has proven himself as one of the most original and inventive producers
of electronic music. It’s an understatement to say we’re honoured to have him on Burek’s 20th release.

The EP consists of 5 tracks and, perhaps unsurprisingly for a producer with more than 30 years worth of releases and more projects than you can remember, it touches on many colours of
house music. From first to last second, this record moves from old funk samples to shades of early Detroit futurism in a brilliantly executed dance floor manner. Orlando’s “Soul Society EP”
respectfully nods to genre’s roots while keeping focus firmly on the future.

Title track "Mango smoothy" delivers a long consistent almost non evolving intro, until the surprise of funky melodic riffs & pads swell into Trumpets & Saxophones expressing an endless dance in pure simplicity & precise musicianship.

"Surf your eyes" eludes to dreamy pads & a Bass-line tied to those morning after-hours, when dancers are purely relying on the groove's persistence into the sunrise, in order to soak the sun & go directly surfing.

"Red Flip" The switch to wake up into full euphoria, but with a nostalgic romantic melancholy, driving lucid textures & a stunning melodic journey from the beginning to the end while emphasising the signature Low frequencies to uplift the dance.

"Back to it" The deepest track in the Ep, pure ear candy for deep house lovers, & a full satiating meal for the lovers of Sam's signature sound.

"Trip to Zanzibar" Closing B side, calmly wrapping up the album, through jazzy minimalistic pads, & the state of art simplicity of percussive elements.

Moskalus Records is back and proud to share its latest release by Brazilian producers Jack District and Marc-lo. The Papaya Sorbet EP is a juicy joint project of completely smoothed out, lush-as-you-like house music that brings to mind languid days lounging under the canopy of a great jungle city, the sky clear and the air fresh. Looping synth patterns offer a heady pulse throughout the 4 tracks atop always tight and jacking percussion, crisp in character and lean in action. If you’re worried how to dance, if you can dance, if you should dance - pop this new pack of tracks into your system and you’ll be right in the move and groove, thinking to yourself - “It’s So Easy!”

Anyone who is a clubber in the South of Brazil, has probably danced to the sound of these two names: Jack District and Marc-lo.

Marc-lo paraded his musical style several times in the cabin of Terraza, a prestigious club with a great history of memorable nights, and of TROOP, collective in which he became a resident in 2016, since then maintaining a constant presence in the events of the label, playing alongside names like Moodymann, Tom Trago, Fred P., Ryan Elliot, tINI and other great artists.

On the other side is Jack District, DJ, audio engineer, music producer, but above all a real lover of House Music. In addition to passing through prestigious clubs in Brazil, he brings in his studio work what is most fresh to dialogue naturally between different styles.

If individually the two already have a very interesting history, together they have done a lot of cool stuff. At the end of last year they released the EP South Wind through Manuscript Records, from Ukraine, they also scored a song on Warung Recordings' newest VA, Solitude and recently released a EP on Brazilian label Radiola Records.
