Thrash metal is to music what the horror genre is to movies. It's a style of music designed to scare -- and that's what makes it so much fun. It's like a good horror movie, but in the form of music.

The emergence of thrash metal in the early 1980s had a profound impact on my youth. The influence of this style is still strong today in everything I do -- when you hear something fast on one of my electronic tracks, rest assured that I'm imagining a thrash metal band in the background. 

"She Craves Control" is a little tribute to this peculiar and fantastic genre of music. You'll find a spooky intro, which was typical of most albums; scary timpani in the chorus, like in Celtic Frost songs; complex guitar riffs as the backbone of the song, typical of Destruction tracks; the super-fast guitar solos alternating with each other, very much in the style of Slayer; and the traditional scream at the end of the song. It's all there, you can check it out.

This is my reinterpretation of the original song "She Craves Control" by Sorroweth. Erin Purser (the vocalist) kindly provided me with the stems from the original track and I mutilated the song to turn it into this new version (hope the band will forgive me one day).

1) There's no one playing guitars or bass on this track -- it's just Kontakt libraries;
2) The drums are free audio available on YouTube, heavily edited for the track;
3) Erin's fantastic voice had to be edited in several places to fit the arrangement of this new version;
