With roots in vinyl DJing since the late 90s, growing up performing live under the alias Mental Distortion and playing as an electronic part of ethno-electronic band Kamennoe More, Rain formed a signature style of mixing which are characterized by frequent changes, rhythmic variety and a fusion of musical genres that epitomizes the breadth of techno. 

From classic 4x4, hard and offbeat subgenres of techno to industrial, IDM and heavy electronics, all is woven together in his sets in a narrative that is as intricate as it is captivating. Beyond the artistic realm, Rain's works exhibit technical prowess. Using only two sound sources, he mixes 60 and even 70 tracks per hour, skillfully embellishing them with FXs. Some of his sets also incorporate tempo experimentation, fluctuating between 80 and 180 BPM.
