木漏机日 ~ this mix is a very personal thing for me and it is so close to my heart that i want to make it public for all the people out there.
there is a lot of emotional work behind this 2 1/2h. musically, In all my years, I’ve never dedicated myself so intensely to one thing. it was really a beautiful experience and gave me a lot of joy.

A thick hollow fiber slurped ammonia as if it was tea. 
One million hollow fibers sucked the naive imagination of how the crop yield of this year would be.

An insidious grimace of the shepherd, a sly grimace of the sheep. 
They got rid of the whool filled with doomed spirits, and formed a pact against the dweeb.

The shepherd turned the whool into a sackcloth, and thought about a scapegoat to blame for why he failed to reap.

He made a walk into the village, whereafter he handed the dirty cloth to the ever exalted chimneysweep.

For this week's podcast, we welcome back a familiar face of SKIN: Remma. Inspired by the symbiotic energy and tension buildup on the dance floor, this set is a playful interplay of rhythmic layers, in which Remma brings together twisting noises with themes of exploration and unpredictability. 

With his growing presence in the Dutch music scene and strong ties to Enschede's music community, Remma's journey has been nothing short of adventurous. 

Over the past few years, he's been a driving force in shaping the Enschede scene with his DIY radio station ITMOTR Radio. His style, characterized by deep, rhythmic, and explorative narratives, has captured dance floors across the country, including Amsterdam, with his contributions to events like Het Einde at De School and weekenders at Garage Noord.

We want to add a special thank you note to this one, since Remma is also the creative mind behind the artwork for our upcoming series, adding his unique vision to the experience he brings to our podcast.

Raised in the Lasnamäe district of the Estonian capital Tallinn, Monknash discovered bleak sounds at a young age. She has been involved in the electronic music most of her life hosting shows and curating nights in Estonia, Russia, UK, and Jordan. Monknash plays live techno which has taken her to perform at Estonian punk parties and underground venues as well as clubs in Berlin and Istanbul. The first Monknash release Skalapendra came out last November on the Scottish label Still Distant Records - VA Dark To Black. Monknash dj sets reflect her deep commitment to anti-war activism.

Black Teeth Radio: Marlen Invites Monknash (19 - 04 - 2024)

Amsterdam-based DJ @mattikk began collecting records in the heady years of the mid-2000s. Although he found himself initially attracted to genres as diverse as hardcore, industrial, breakcore and jungle, his tastes soon widened even further to encompass dubstep, techno, and everything in between. 
Over time, his deep musical knowledge and passion for the scene naturally saw him gravitate towards work in the industry, taking up a label manager/A&R role for the legendary Dutch imprint @delsinrecords - a position that he still occupies today.

As a seasoned DJ, Mattikk has held down with residencies at Amsterdam’s Studio 80 and Shelter clubs, as well as hosting a monthly show on @redlightradio. His reputation for envelope-pushing, genre-bending, hypnotic and weird selections has seen him perform at some of the world’s most iconic techno clubs and festivals, including Berghain, De School, Trouw, Dekmantel and Bassiani. Next year promises to be an exciting one for Mattikk, with the inception of his own Delsin sub-label, with releases planned from Forest Drive West and natural/electronic.system., among others.

Building from an initially slow tempo to form a steadily intensifying collage of eclectic selections, Mattikk’s Patterns of Perception 56 is not only cohesive, but also utterly compelling.
