Letting go of what others think and say and letting go of trusting and relying on others, she wanted to start always betting on herself. At the end of the day, you know you can always rely on you. Fake people are everywhere and reach out a hand with the hope and intent to watch you fail, but no matter how many times she gets let down, she gets up again. ‘Sink Or Swim’ is absolutely one of the edgier songs in Rachel’s arsenal, moving more towards an alternative realm. She wanted to show she has a tough side, a back bone and refuses to be stepped on and hopes it empowers others as this song so strongly resonates with her. Relationships and industries can be cut throat but Rachel chooses to bite back.
