Thank for adding the hohner instrument to the track. I love that the fan that helps creating the sound is  audible. Very nice.

Disquiet Junto #0636 has us creating one part or layer of a three-part asynchronous collaboration. 

I tried to provide an interesting rhythmic layer (93bpm, 3/4 time) and some minimal atmosphere with the guitar (St Vincent Music Man 6-string, Eventide H9 Harmonizer, Keeley HALO delay pedal). 

The samples are taken from episode 123 of the radio drama The Shadow, titled "The Tenor with the Broken Voice," which aired on June 5, 1938. The samples are intended to prompt or inspire a collaborator with an interesting dramatic premise.

I'm happy to share stems, samples. or Logic files with anyone who'd like to build with this.

Here is a drone in C# major for Disquiet Junto. The filter cutoff frequencies are slowly modulated by hand to give it some breathing. Hopefully there's enough space for you to add additional parts to it. It's a stereo recording but I expect it to be panned partially or fully to the left 

Created on Elta Music Solar 42 "ambient machine" post-processed with some EQ to limit the frequency spectrum. Just got the Solar 42 yesterday so there is much to learn.

Here's a handpan piece. I hope it inspires some collaboration! 
Here's some info: 
The handpan scale is  F integral, which is like F minor without a Bb. 
Scale notes: (F), C, Db, Eb, F, G, Ab, C
99 bpm
There is a melody that repeats 3 times, at bar 13, 37, and 57. Then Before, in between and after are some little grooves. 
It's been a while since I've participated in the Junto (I have been doing Weekly Beats all year) but I love this three part collaboration. Can't wait to hear what this community does!

This years beginning was full of work and I missed 1/3. This time I did not want to miss the collaboration. I went with Daniels piece https://soundcloud.com/daniel-diaz/live-bass-soundscape-disquiet0636 simply because I liked it and I wanted to know what would come out if I tried it - if I would not like the outcome I would go on to another piece. I improvised a first track with a Hydrasynth Explorer. A second track is the rattling of a napkin ring with rattling shells on it, which I had bought in France just for this purpose. I went with my gut feeling until I had the feeling that I couldn't contribute any more. I always liked it in every step, probably because it's DDs. I think there is still room for a third person with something unusual.

The Assignment: Record the second third of an eventual trio.

These instructions are fairly lengthy. Please read carefully.

While this is the second part of a three-part project, you can participate in one, two, or all three of the parts, which will occur over the course of three consecutive weeks, starting last week. 

Step 1: This week’s Disquiet Junto project is the second in a sequence intended to encourage and reward asynchronous collaboration. This week you’ll be adding music to a pre-existing track, which you will source from the previous week’s Junto project (disquiet.com/0636). Note that you aren’t creating a duet — you’re creating the second third of what will eventually be a trio. Important: Leave space for what is yet to come.

Step 2: The plan is for you to record a short and original piece of music, on any instrumentation of your choice, as a complement to a pre-existing track. First, however, you must select the piece of music to which you will be adding your own music. There are tracks by numerous musicians to choose from (47 as of last count). I wanted to add some light harmony to underscore the melody. Converted the melody to midi harmony in Ableton. Made some light adjustments to midi notes here and there. Used the Schwarzonator 2.0 device to help add some additional chord notes. Chose some light key sounds from Kontakt 40's keys and Playbox. Also light bass from Lode, and melodic tabla. Tapped in the shaker parts. Panned hard right with orginal panned left. 

Enjoyed listening Sinny Sound's lovely melody while making this. I'll be humming it all week!

It was fun listening to everyone's "Left" tracks this week, I'm always in awe by this community's talent and creativity!

I didn’t change the original tracks at all, I behaved this time.
I added a beat, for that 50 years old euro-disco vibe and then jammed on a lead synth that brought this to some sort of proto-disco-floyd.

Four on the floor man, you can’t go wrong…
