Having heard the baggy psychedelic beauty that is ʻRushing Through My Mindʼ on Lauren Laverneʼs 6Music show, we thought we could do a number on it. Turn it into a psychedelic disco record (with added meatballs). We think we managed it, reliving the rushy highs from indie-danceʼs finest moments of 1991.

For those of you unaware of the splendid Swedish rockersʼ groovy workings, they have already released two albums, debut Horse Dance in 2015 and last yearʼs excellent Mirage, from which the ecstatic ʻRushing...ʼ comes.

The release comes on Joe Bugner-style heavyweight vinyl (180g) complete with Instrumental and Radio Edit. Mang Dynasty is Ray Mang and Bill Brewster.

"Super smooth groove-smiths Whiskey Disco have distilled another disco bomb here. Thoma Cher is the supplier of the good times via, firstly, the pure party gem that is "Holiday Holiday", on an EP that marks Cher's first solo outing on this label. "Dancer" is an uplifting track with a warped bassline that wraps itself round the sliding hi hats and loose drums as boogie synths add colour. "Be My Love" is an instantly recognisable gem with a fat bassline slowed to a sensuous pace overloaded with breathy vocals. Great stuff."

Equal parts studio musician and disco academia, this Tel Aviv dj duo know their history and can see the future. Rabo & Snob weave a groove combining original and sampled elements to create their own club adventures tailored at disco edits powerhouse. Add that to full blown personal globetrotting careers spanning all other things music from journalism to producing and there should be nothing surprising about the very high quality of their collaborative work.
