The Edgy Future Discotheque is back open for business and its packing in a rag tag bunch of low slung mutant disco delights for all times of the night on the dance floor.

Warped & wonky house grooves alongside delicious slabs of techno and 1 or 2 straight up peak time yessmates make up this 3rd collection and features members of the Sprechen extended family in the guise of Bill Brewster & Andy Buchan. We welcome to the fold (finally!) Manchester mega human Black Eyes as well as rising stars Tom2Trax & Yootis plus we have something pretty amazing from the new mysterious new kid (or should that be kids?) on the block, the Yum Yum Club who team with Maria Uzor of Sink Ya Teeth for some pretty amazing scenes.

Putting this EP together was such a great experience. I had the chance to acquaint Greg Packer and asked him to take care of a remix for me. As fucking cool as he is, he said yes. After that, I had the chance to have a few drinks with grandmaster guitarist Gabriel Covarubias and we recorded his Gibson SG. A single take, fifteen  minutes or so. A great drunken jam session. I feel the final product is delightful! And to top it all, Dave Allison's Editorial Records is releasing it.

Austrian tennis coach Norbert Kainz made some nice recordings in the early 80s. This is taken from his 1982 release "Persönlich". Check his other music too, it's really worth it, especially if you understand some german :)

Rabo & Snob eschew the worn rhythms of disco injecting a heretofore unheard blend of middle-eastern rhythm mixed with western influence and from time to time love to take an adventure on the dark 80’s side roads. Equal parts studio musician and disco academia, this Tel Aviv dj duo know their history and can see the future. Rabo & Snob weave a groove combining original and sampled elements to create their own club adventures tailored at disco edits powerhouse. Add that to full blown personal globetrotting careers spanning all other things music from journalism to producing and there should be nothing surprising about the very high quality of their collaborative work.
