NIEVE VOLCANICA [Marasm, Monkey Tool]

Another bundle of goodness for the Episode Б27 filled with dub, dubstep, cumbia, heavy bass and roots reggae. Nieve Volcanica is one of projects launched in 2017 by Umkra, a producer based in Paris. With OlgaZz and DRK, he’s running MARASM: an independent, eclectic and anti-conformist label focused on the limited pressing vinyl accompanied by a rather distinct visual language. From the hardcore, breakcore and industrial sound system culture, all three mates recently celebrated 20 years of the label. In 2018, they’ve founded HELECHO DUB, a sub-label oriented in dub, carioca funk, folktronica... Nieve Volcania has recently released on Monkey Tool (Toolbox Records). He explores vocals and traditional instruments as harmonica, Quena, Tarka, Ocarina, Bara drums… This fresh mix allows us to discover some productions of Marasm rec. and his own as well.

For this Track I used my new Mooer Ocean Machine Delay on my Microkorg, my voice and on some recordings I did with my H4N Pro microphone in the southside of my hometown leipzig. I added some drums and a bass on the digitakt. It's all live recordings. This is how I want to do music at the moment.
