I think what Kurt is missing and what Yamaneika isn't articulating about cultural appropriation is that there is a HISTORY of white people actually stealing our culture, claiming it as their own without giving us credit, and then capitalizing off it. When you "sample" music you have to give credit or run the risk of a lawsuit.

Yamaneika isn't making a valid points though.

I've always liked Yamaneika on this show a lot and I think she's pretty intelligent but this is overtly ignorant. I lean left in most things but people bitching about cultural appropriation are reeeeaaally reaching. and when someone forgoes facts for conspiracy shit, you can basically dismiss them as a source of reliable information.

If you bitch about cultural appropriation you should be banned from the internet and the use of electricity. Whaaaaa it's cultural appropriation! whaaa

But dredlocks are literally natural to everyone's hair...
