Festival DJ Set recorded at Leighton's Farm, South Head, Aotearoa on the mighty White Stag Stage, 22 May 2022.  This set was for Aum NYE Festival's traditional mid-winter outdoor show, but this time with a bit of a twist - the lineup consisted of live dub bands, bass DJs & MCs from around the globe, interspersed with festival house, techno & psytrance local legends...


There are heaps of fresh tunes from the start of the year, but I enjoyed a bit of crate digging prior to the gig and played a bunch of classics too - the set includes tracks from the likes of Bicep, Innellea, Silicone Soul, Adriatique, Franky Wah + heaps more.

This is the live recording of my White Stag Stage DJ Set as part of the House & Techno Showcase on 30th December 2019 at the 5th Aum NYE Festival in South Head, Auckland, New Zealand.  I played 2330 - 0100 before NOIR.

The festival bookended twenty-years of DJing for me and WOW, what a way to celebrate...  probably my most enjoyable set of all-time!  Will post track listing a little later for those interested + free downloads are activated and you'll be getting a lossless .wav file.

Nga mihi nui to all of you who were there on the dancefloor, what a killer vibe you served up!  So... turn it up fucking loud and let it take you back.  Back to that magical place, where the deer roam wild and "all you need is faith, trust & a little bit of pixie dust!"

I played from midnight to 1:30am and the other artists performing were Rob Warner, Ange, Greg Churchill & Donna-Marie > due to the global situation, the entire festival featured a lineup like no other...  all artists reside in Aotearoa.  We are so incredibly blessed to be living here and I'm super-grateful that we were able to celebrate the new year feeling safe, happy & healthy among friends & family.

A Sabin set embodies passion, spontaneity and innovation, caressing and flirting with many flavours of house and techno. An undeniable forecaster , Sabin is an industry leader and curator through her multifaceted approach to the industry. Stalwart of the Auckland electronic music scene for 25 years, she has promoted parties such as Jaded, and Technologystolemyvinyle and while living in London she was the sole resident of Paper Recording’s weekly night Etiquette. She performs live and produces under the moniker of Clever Box and created a platform for live acts and producers to be seen and heard in the musical landscape with long-running Ink Bar club night, Clever Box & Friends. Her latest project embodies music, art & love: collective The Joy Administration.

Along the way, she has been lucky enough to play alongside DJ luminaries, such as Maurice Fulton, Kenny Hawkes, Ben Davis, Luke Solomon, Giles Smith, James Priestly, Stuart Patterson, Elliot Eastwick, Winston Hazel, Alison Marks, Jo Mills, DJ T, Anthony Pappa and Noir. She is also long-
time resident for all AUM events and festivals. She possesses a talent and distinct musical signature and whilst mining old school disco and house for inspiration, she is resolutely a futurist, melding these textures with lush, melodic elements and broken beats to create an immersive sonic
world. You’ll be compelled to dance when she’s behind the decks - her energy stretches its feelers into the remote corners of the dancefloor and it’s time to kidnap daydreams and drag them into the night…
