Subway is a song that got me through the pandemic lockdowns, across the ocean from my family.  Creating a cover of this song that reflected my emotions was a launchpad for my stunted creativity.  Once more, Peter Murphy was my angel.  I can't wait to record the vocals for this.

The Stolen Breath

The Magnificat is, according to the New Testement, the song sung by Mary when she found out she was chosen to carry the Christ child.  It is a song of praise and of protest which is significant considering the socio-political context of the time, with the boot of the Roman Empire firmly on the necks of the Judean people.

In the song, Mary calls for the mighty to be cast down from their thrones, for the marginalised to me uplifted, for the empires of the world to be brought down.

This is one of the flurry of songs that burst out of me after the election, because damn it, she was on to something.
