I began this project about two months ago, almost clueless about how it would turn out. But through the process of writing these songs, I realized how much I tend to be so over-critical of myself and my work. Being someone who isn't that technically adept in the world of music production was something that hindered me from ever being confident about the music I make/the songs I write. And so there was this hiatus I took, around 3 years ago, from composing my own songs. It would even take me months before I would post another cover. I would always apologize for the content I made due to the lack of equipment or the quality of the audio and other various reasons. Right after posting something, I'd immediately batter myself and put myself down since I tend to compare myself with a lot of other artists. Not that it's a competition, but I always hated myself for my lack of expertise and resources. It was my self-criticism that has hampered my growth and left me doubtful of my capabilities, telling me that I would never be able to become what I dreamed of becoming. 
But that is exactly why I wrote this EP. These songs are not professionally recorded, I have zero to no knowledge of when it comes to even the most basic concepts of editing and producing, and so many times I just wanted to scrap the entire project. But I want to keep growing and proving myself wrong. I love to write and sing and it is music, in all its entirety, that keeps me passionate to strive harder and better. I want to keep learning. I want to keep sharing my stories and emotions in the most creative and honest way I can. I don't want to apologize for something I've given my whole heart to create, whether it be mediocre or nothing short of plain. And I encourage you to do the same. 
Know that you are unequivocally capable of what you set your heart to do. Keep doing and keep growing. 
So with all the late-nights, cabinet recordings, re-recordings, experimenting and the failure to stay on beat to a metronome, ladies and gentlemen, I give you a project that may not be my best but is the best so far and the beginning of many more to come, "Heal"

P.S. the story of how I wrote "Heal" is also something I want to break down. This is only the start and I have so many things I want to do with this project. I'll be on Instagram for more updates!
