yea, supahyped @kansi0 is joining our series<33 Kansi (she/her) has decided to not declare love for any one genre, going for sounds that are unheard. Usually starts with House, often mixes Disco & Italo, can't help but play some Acid, sometimes experiments with Ambient and Techno but always try to play true to her heart. Co-started Sunday Love Affair with two other FLINTA* Djs and is looking forward to new adventures in 2024.

Interview with Kansi

•  How did you get into DJing? 
I have spent my whole life thinking i'm not musically talented because i didn't play any instrument and didn't go to any formal classes but i always enjoyed sounds. When I moved to Leipzig in 2018, I saw FLINTA* Djs for the first time, In 2021 I got the chance to learn with https://soundcloud.com/mainades , we started playing together and practising in different proberaums. trying to bring fresh house perspective to Indian and Balkan sounds. We played our first gig in Distillery Leipzig in 2022 and haven't looked back. We still like to play together whenever we can but also play by ourselves!

• Where do you get inspirations?
Radio shows, walks, movies and my friends!

•  Where do you prefer to DJ or to make music in general?
When I started I really like performing for people, it gave my more power and the joy to see people dancing brings instant rush however I have started to really enjoying playing on the radio maybe a teeny bit more also, the freedom to express and to play how you feel instead of catering to the audience. Live radio shows have a level of authenticity that is unbeatable.

• Did you have any specific thoughts about your podcast?
I'm not one to stick to a genre, i like smoothness in ambient sets however the waviness and ups and downs are my favourite, it represents life more.

• What would you like to change in the music scene if you could?
More FLINTA* and BIPoC people. 

• What was your first record?
I bought myself a copy Thriller for my 11th birthday 

• What memories do you have of your music lessons? Would your teachers consider you in the music/ club industry today?
First answer, never had access to music lessons but its never too late!

• What do you wish for in the future from your audience, the club culture?
Being more open to challenging themselves and listening to more than what they know already. Indian music is more than bollywood for example. I often try to play tracks produced by Indians to show the diversity of sounds.

Sunday Love Affair (https://www.instagram.com/sl.affair/)  is now developing into a multi-layered project that will not only include the radio show in the future but will also focus on events. This will be realised through parties and concerts focusing on giving space to FLINTA* and BIPoC. It will also be carried out through socio-cultural events designed to create more awareness and allyship towards marginalised groups.

Ursprünglich aus Asdrid Lindgren's wilder Phantasie entstanden, erinnert der in Bern sesshafte Racker in vieler Hinsicht an Ronjas Wildpferd: Während seiner Sets fühlt sich der Musikfreund wie auf einem Ausritt durch die tiefen Wälder vom Räuberland: Mal trab, mal galopp, hier ein wilder Fluss zum Wasser tanken, da ein Bär auf Honigsuche.
Seit Beginn der Serie "Heu, Stroh &amp; Hafer" im Rössli der Reitschule Bern als Resident-DJ engagiert, geht seine Laufbahn als Plattenleger zurück bis in die Lehre als Grafiker in der Schule f. Gestaltung in Biel. Als es an seiner Klasse war, die alljährliche Weihnachtsparty zu organisieren, nutzte er die Gelegenheit, es selber hinter dem DJ-Pult zu versuchen.
Nicht viel später fand er zu seiner Familie, der Familie Festmacher, welche seit vier Jahren eher unter als über dem Grund aktiv ist und durch viele grossartigen Partys die Berner und Schweizer Technoszene mitprägt. Seither auch als Veranstalter aktiv, spielte er an vielen kleinen und grossen, revolutionären und legendären Partys sowie in einer Vielzahl von Schweizer Clubs.
Parallel zum Familienprojekt ist er Gründungsmitglied von "Midilux", einem Berner Technolabel, das sich auf Club-Abende spezialisiert hat, mit dem Ziel gute Musik zu verbreiten und die Vielfältigkeit der elektronischen Musik aufzuzeigen.
Die Freude am Reiten kann ihm niemand nehmen, und am liebsten nimmt Racker die tanzwütige Herde mit in die Zauberwelt von Technoland.
