Short Jazz Stories are more like short musical tales than standard compositions and I never know at the beginning where the story will lead me.
This is a homemade amateur recording. 
Since childhood, I’ve enjoyed discovering new sounds, combining them, playing with tones, and coming up with new compositions. But I've never had enough discipline or energy to write them down or record them systematically. So, most of them fade from memory over time, and I find joy in discovering new ones again. 
Maybe that's a shame. I've recorded something here and will preserve it this way. Perhaps listening to these small pieces will bring someone the same pleasure I felt while creating them.

Everything Is As It Should Be (2022)

Many musical ideas are forgotten, and many pieces are never finished. Even the ones that are completed often take a long time to reach their final form. In this case, I made a short musical sketch back in 1997, so I know it took 25 years. And in the end, it became just a two-minute piece.
The track Everything Is As It Should Be doesn’t try to solve anything. It’s simply a moment of peace turned into music. 
Maybe it sounds more like pop than jazz, but hey, that’s just how it turned out. And it’s an opportunity to remember another one of my great musical inspirations, Mike Oldfield. His music is magical, enchanting, original—and the occasional touches of pop are so natural that they don’t disrupt, but rather offer a pleasant refreshmet.

Waltz on a Crowded Dance Floor (2023)

When the ballroom is full of dancers—especially beginners—the dance doesn’t flow quite as smoothly as one might imagine. This musical miniature is a memory of the times we used to take our daughter to dance classes, and occasionally, there was a dance for the parents too. In the packed hall, it was impossible to glide gracefully around the perimeter of the floor, smoothly and rhythmically alternating dance steps. You mostly had to watch your feet so you wouldn’t step on someone else’s. One step was shorter than it should have been, the next longer, sometimes you shuffled in place, and then moved from bump to bump among the other couples, following a random trajectory like Brownian motion—just like particles in a liquid nudged by the thermal movement of molecules.
Only for a few bars, by sheer coincidence, did you find yourself at the edge of the floor and manage to trace a beautiful, graceful curve around the hall.
Maybe you’ll hear that in my waltz. :-)

The Bells Are Ringing (2021)

In the beginning, there was the text. It was supposed to be a song, but somehow it went off track by the third bar, and in the end, it turned into yet another short jazz story. The interval of a perfect fourth in the opening motive refers to the sound of a bell, but you won’t find any other idea in there :-)
