Deepavali balihar gayi lakhi
(I sacrifice myself on the beautiful celebration of Deepavali by the divine couple!)

Jagmag-jagmag jagmagat giri, govardhan rijhvar
(The entire Govardhan hill is looking dazzlingly beautiful, lit up by many shimmering burning earthen lamps.)

Lakhi jaki banki jhanki kah, dau baikunthahun var
(Looking at this extraordinary sight, one would sacrifice the splendour of Vaikuntha on it!)

It lalitadi sakhin sang viharati, albeli sarkar
(On one side, Kishori ji is engaged in transcendental pastimes accompanied by Lalita...)

Ut madhumangaladi sang krirat, nagar nandakumar
(...and on the other, Shri Krishn is sporting with Madhumangal and his other cowherd friends.)

nij-nij saaj saaji dou dal chal, mansi-gang majhar
(Both groups are equipped with the appropriate paraphernalia and are approaching the Ganga river.)

Ik tat natkhat dal ik tat gal, rajat bhanudular
(Shri Krishn and his group are on one bank and on the other, Radha Rani is presiding over the group consisting of her sakhis.)

Dou dal nij-nij kanak-deepkan, daryo jal majhdhar
(Both groups are placing their lit lamps in the waters of the Ganga.)

Dou kar anjurin jal halkorat, deepan-chhavi chhavidar
(Then, both parties are agitating the water with both palms placed together causing the lit lamps to move around in the waters creating a beautiful sight.)

Jhalmalat dou dal deepavali, hil-mil bhaye iksaar
(The lamps of both sides then meet and intermingle in the middle of the Ganges.)

Lakhi 'Kripalu' kah, puni-puni jai ho, deepvali shringar
(Shri Kripalu ji Maharaj witnessing this beautiful scene says again and again, "All glories to the splendor of the Deepavali festival!".)

Kirtan sessions are held from 4-6 pm every Saturday followed by vegetarian dinner. Post dinner, we have informal open-mic sessions for all kirtan lovers.
