A Sunday Morning in June

I want to shout out my gratitude, thankfulness and respect for African genius and Indigenous wisdom, still shining so bright despite hundreds of years of oppression!  These rhythms, the music in this mix owes everything to the creativity and sheer beautiful vibrancy of traditional cultures all across this changing planet.
Thanks also to Greta Thunberg, the courageous Norwegian Climate activist quoted in the mix while trying to convince world leaders to act ethically, responsibly and with appropriate urgency to address the Global Emergency that is Global Warming.  It seems that there may yet be a small window (possibly only 10 years?) within which we can act to at least avert our own possible extinction as a species.

I want to shout out my gratitude and indebtedness to all the African genius and Indigenous wisdom that creates and sustains this magical music (and indeed our very existence) that we love so much!   Still Shining so brightly despite hundreds of years of oppression,  may we all learn to listen,  and to dance what we hear!
