This July, Sailor & I proudly presents his new album Diving For Lost Treasure on Get Physical's exciting sister label METAPHYSICAL. The richly layered 10-track album of grown up indie-dance gems is "for lovers, of all ages, who are keen to explore all sides of life and who even dare enough to Dive For Lost Treasure within themselves."

Says the artist himself, "This made me pick up my first instrument guitar, which I hadn’t played for years. Releasing a track with only a solo guitar was like going back to where I once started musically and gave me a lot of new perspectives on songwriting and producing. I realised that I had stories to tell that were important for me on a personal level. Making an album with these stories would be the ultimate way to face myself and to deal with the challenges I’ve been through most recently. I believe we managed to create a universe for the songs to exist in, where they can get older and older each year and still be sounding freshly made."

The album finds the artist really going beyond his own limitations of being both songwriter, producer and artist. A friend Tobias Kampe-Flygare helped Sailor & I finish the productions in his studio in East London so it embodies the energy of three cities it was written in - the sleepless, hungry heart of Berlin, the busy London and the endless light of Scandinavian midsummer that is so special in Stockholm. It was made using old analogue gear with no samples and all instruments were recorded one by one, the traditional way.

After the global success of their first EP of 2016, ‘On’, including remixes by Techno legend Paco Osuna and Chloé, Monkey Safari is the name on everyone’s lips, and summer lineups. Now they’re out with their follow-up EP entitled ‘Bernstein’ with two original tracks and remixes by none other than John Digweed & Nick Muir as well as Spanish DJ and producer UNER. This release showcases the German brothers’ darker side, combining deep trance-like rhythms with resonant sounds. At the same time, the release pulls you in with dreamy, head-in-the-clouds melodies, perfect for both sunrise and deep club sets alike.  

This release demonstrates Sven and Lars’ move into the limitless domain of the “experimental” since the launch of their new label ‘Hommage.’ As their career grows and transforms, it becomes more and more clear that they have found a medium in which to display their differing genre preferences and production styles. As another pair of soulful musical expression and its reinterpretation
broadens MoBlack Records' catalog, the label adds another dense
layer to its already complex and rich carapace. L.A. based indieelectronic band Dear Humans, jumps on the afro house label's ship,
traversing a trajectory that stretches both the label's and artist's
breadth, and depth. Kidogo starts off cushioned in coarse earthy
elements, swiftly careened by a simple, steady bass line and budding
percussion. As the narrative sprouts and the marriage of melody and
rhythm illuminates, a colorful cornucopia becomes visible to sensory
capacities beyond the naked eye, narrated by emotional ejection as
delivered by Alex's vocal prowess: "when another one close the door,

"One more..." Italian duo Armonica returns to the label with their

Neil Amarey appears from the depths of Mozambique speaking the body language of House to lay
out the grounds of the game. Yielding a firm grasp of traditional African rhythms and the acumen to
candidly integrate past within the present, Amarey comes aboard MoBlack Records with label
veteran and Afro House luminary, Enoo Napa, to spew the 399th set of weapons for the label’s vast
arsenal. Fetching basslines, prolific soundscapes and an Afro-infused groove thrive on the trifle
between tension and release in Amarey’s Original Mix of Lose the Game, but the seductive and
gratifying nature of victory, as in any play, lures and here, euphonic melodic chords and impulsive
electronic swells are bait. On B side, Enoo Napa revels in the aftermath of the game, infatuated with
its motions and vulnerable at play. Weaving raw Afro elements with a bit of techno noir, the South
African DJ/Producer renders his signature Afro electronic touch to drift reverberated vocals and
syncopated harmonies through layers of synthesized soundwaves to the track’s elegant finish. ‘Lose
the Game’ is only but a thought in this EP, both sides might tug but at a war with no defeat.
