The artistic roots of Cafe de la Jungle lie in electronic music, a fluid traversin through abundance of rhythms, sounds, and subtle impressions in order to reveal and celebrate the primal instincts of the listener. Symbolic mythologies of the outer and inner world carefully craft sonic rituals in a space where modernity meets indigenous traditions in hypnotic trippy soundscapes.
Dancing with Cicadas debut EP delivers elegantly synthetic narration, amplified by the modular wires. Entrenched in the grooves of the jungle, every track mirrors a different conceptual and esthetic journey into our transcendental connection to the earth. .
The recording emerged from a powerful urge to create a universe of never-ending journeys between movement of dancing spirits and the mathematical language of sound.
Engaging your inner listener-creator, you are invited to bring to life your own dreams guided by the sounds we create in honor of the development of your spirit. We combine electronics and folklore with live subcultural soundscapes using various ethnic instruments, voice and anything else that helps you dive deeper into acoustic and spiritual experience. London based label Claptrap presents ‘KOKO NI KITE’ the debut EP from DJ, Producer & Multi-Instrumentalist DJ Goodboy featuring a remix from label head Vanity Project.

Head hazy, eyes blurred; even the sliver of light creeping through the curtain feels invasive, total darkness is needed. Memories? What memories? Any recollection of the evening before had been lost in a smog of shame and regret, at least for now. The fragments would slowly become clearer as Sunday unravelled, they'd unveil themselves whether invited to or not; a story being pieced back together chapter by chapter, though some parts would be better left to the imagination...

French artist Cuften has been flying the flag for a new generation of rave producers in the country over the last five years. Connecting the dots between IDM, hardcore, techno and electro, his analog sound pays homage to the 90s heyday, when these sounds reigned supreme, whilst keeping his eyes firmly on the future. With EPs for Tripalium, Minimum Syndicat and rave veteran Marc Acardipane's Planet Phuture under his belt, he now makes his mark on Astropolis Records with Animal Suicide, a five-track release packed with his trademark blend of future-facing old school techno, that comes backed by remixes from Legowelt and Cate Hortl.

"My dad was first diagnosed with cancer in April 2001, but probably had been sick for quite a while without even knowing it. 

At first, they operated him and tried all sorts of hormone therapies. With mixed results. It took these hormones quite a while to adjust to his body, and were effective for a short amount of time, leaving him weaker and sicker than before. 

Around 2009 there were no more hormones to treat him with. So they turned to chemo and radiation therapy. With the chemo some sort of pattern emerged.  With every round he got sicker and weaker, until his body had adjusted to the chemo, and then he would bounce back again. But never as strong as he was before he started the chemo. 

He never lost hope. He always spoke about his illness as his "little problem", which was a real understatement. He always remained very positive, until the very end. 

His death came to us as a total surprise. And to him. He had just started a new round of chemo again. He was sure he would bounce back again. He had plans. But his body decided otherwise. It all went really fast. We had fun and talks on Tuesday night, he fell into a coma on Thursday night, and he died on Saturday. 

He never got to see my second-born son, he barely got to be the grandfather to my first-born son.

This track is my representation of him. I am not sure how this track started. The beat-section was done quite a while earlier, and one night I was messing around with these beats and my then new SH-201 synth. When I finally had the moody bit, it all came together very quickly. 

The moody progression represents the ever-continuing cycle of him taking the hormones and the chemo, getting sicker, the blood results showing slight improvement and him starting to feel a bit better again, but then losing effect way to soon.

When I listen to the track, I feel there is hope in there too, until the very end. 

Due to the hormones he could be very grumpy sometimes. The bassline is him "mopperend or grumpy" about nothing and anything. 

The last bit represents his sudden passing; him fading away... My Dad died on January 18th, 2014. I still miss him to this day.

When Andy Bass Agenda first mentioned this project, later named: "Touched Bass", I immediately said that I want to be part of it. With "Track for My Father".

PREMIERE: The Unknown - Unknown [Duca Bianco]

Radiation 30376 is the new live project from Poland’s Olivia and Chino. They are both 80s children through-and-through, born towards the end of the cold war, just before the nuclear meltdown at Chernobyl, and imbued at an early age with the aura of decaying communism. This was experienced as a time of suppression and prohibition, which in turn gave way to the wild, unchecked freedoms of the 90s, when the country and its inhabitants were pressed to search for new ways and modes of living. 
With Radiation 30376 they seek to reflect the startling harshness of these transformative times. Their full-on hardware performance, combining the sounds of acid, techno and electro is complemented by the lights and visuals operated by Jan Dybała, together creating an impactful AV experience, evoking an intense, brutalist aura of the former eastern bloc.
