The two sides of the record present a combination of flavours in our usual fashion, telling the story of the artist's complex character. One side represents emotional journey navigating the continent and his own mind while the flip side beautifully represents his love for machines, technology and all things electronic! Music for the dancefloor and beyond... Babylon is a deep musical journey using progressive keys and complex drums building to an emotional, melodic climax. Expect some tears on the dancefloor! The original version of Transistor uses aggressive synthesizers on top of groovy melodies to create an uplifting, dancefloor-friendly piece. The use of acid leads and analogue elements throughout fit the nature of the track's circuitry inspired name. The Transistor Dream dub bridges the EP together, using the same elements as the original mix and re-working them to introduce soul and depth; creating a record encouraging you to close your eyes and groove your body.

Bobby Nourmand closes out the year with a return to Spectrum, following February's blistering single 'BURN'. His new release, T-99, sees the LA producer open up his creative process to a pair of kindred spirits: Berlin duo Local Suicide.

What began as an off-the-cuff studio sketch - track number 99 - soon morphed into something far more formidable. 'T-99' channels a stark, near-future atmosphere, driven by Local Suicide's Dina Summer and her icy cold-wave, post-punk vocal presence. Nourmand's shadowy techno pulse underpins the track, giving shape to a world teetering on the edge of an AI-ruled spiral.

To counterbalance the trio's brooding vision, they turned to their own 'John Connor': Mexican producer and Duro label head Theus Mago. His rework preserves the original's cinematic tension and post-punk bite, but injects a jolt of unexpected momentum, an insistent, and undeniable body-locking groove.

'T-99' lands as a sharp and imaginative collaboration, and a striking final chapter to Nourmand's year on Spectrum.

Radikon is the term for 'roots' in Esperanto, an international language that sought to bring people together. We share this vision, using art and music in lieu of language. Radikon is a group of like-minded artists that came together to release records that are more than music, each with its own individual soul and lifeblood. Producer and painter work closely together at Radikon to craft genuine, heartfelt art. The Berlin based imprint was founded in the autumn of 2018 by Jonas Saalbach and David Guzy who embarked on a journey with their close friends Arude, Baime, Dahu, Foreign Guest, Tantum and Yubik. Effortless grooves, organic synthesis, haunting melodies and the masterful subtleties of Simon Kneip's artworks drive the captivating atmospheres at Radikon.
