Written during and heavily influenced by the experience of Covid-19 and quarantine, prolific producer and instrumental hip-hop beatmaker Blockhead emerges with his new album 'Space Werewolves Will Be The End Of Us All'. A deep journey through classic and not-so-classic beats, riddled with vocal samples covering sci-fi drenched imaginative themes, fusing numerous genres and eras within songs, and exploring variable quarantine emotions, the album brings fans Blockhead’s signature sound while offering something slightly different, and certainly timely. The album will be released via the indie electronic label Future Archive Recordings and is available on Vinyl, CD, and Digital formats.

Der erste single release des Analogue Birds Albums "Azimut", ist eine Trip Hop  inspirierte Nummer. Eine der renomiertesten deutschen Sängerinnen im Bereich Soul & Jazz, Pat Appleton (DePhazz), leiht dem Stück dafür ihre ausdrucksstarke Stimme. Im Intro ist die armenische Flöte Duduk zu hören, die von Zhafer Kücük meisterhaft gespielt wird. Die Synth-Sounds stammen zum grössten Teil von Martin Gerke, der sich u.a. den analogen Eurorack-Modular Systemen verschrieben hat. Die nordindische Tabla wird, wie auf allen Stücken der Platte, von Bodek Janke gespielt, einem weltweit gefragten Persussionisten. David Bruhn, langjähriger Drummer der Analogue Birds, sitzt hier am Schlagzeug. Tom Fronza, der alle Stücke der Veröffentlichung aufgenommen und produziert hat, und von dem auch Text und Musik stammen, spielt auf diesem Stück Bass, Gitarre sowie Synth.

The single Alley Cats is the first spawn of Analogue Birds Album "Azimut". It's a slightly Portishead inspired Trip Hop piece. Pat Appleton (DePhazz), one of Germanies first and finest voices for Jazz and Soul lends this song her amazing timbre. The Intro with Duduk, an Armenian traditional flute, is masterfully played by Zhafer Kücük. German Documentary Film composer and Eurorack-Synth afficionado Martin Gerke is mainly responsible for the lush synth sounds used in this piece. The north indian Tabla is virtuosoly played by internationally renowned percussionist Bodek Janke. The decade long Analogue Birds drummer David Bruhn works the drumkit. Tom Fronza who composed the song, wrote the lyrics and shows responsible for recording and production, also plays bass, guitar and synths on the track.

That's just on the other side of La Ronde (I think the name has changed, was purchased by Six Flags maybe twenty years ago, and then by another since then, I'm not sure), an amusement park where they shoot firecrackers far up in the air, rockets actually. (See "Gigantic Popcorn" among my other field recordings)

Nous sommes un tout, éclaté en une multitude de petits aspects.
Ces individualités se doivent de briller pour retrouver l'unité que nous sommes.
Je pense que nous sommes plongés dans un leurre, un rêve ou nous nous croyons grain de sable, car enfermés dans une petite séquence de conscience, alors qu'en réalité, si nous avons l'occasion de remonter quelque peu à la surface, nous voyons que nous ne sommes ni un grain de sable, nous ne sommes pas la plage non plus, nous ne sommes rien de tout ça.
Enfin, oui, nous sommes tout ça mais nous sommes encore plus, nous sommes un tout.

J'ai choisi des paroles de Frédéric Delavier pour clôturer la composition.
Composition basée sur le morceau précisé en description principale.
J'ai même recomposé des choses de ce morceau de Binkbeats de manière quasi similaire avec mes propres samples car je tenais vraiment à détourner ceci, j'aime beaucoup l'ambiance qu'il dégage.
