Le MC Californien Raashan Ahmad est à l'aise en freestyle et toujours partant pour un petit galop d'essai ! Il s'est prêté à un jeu particulier lors de son passage à Lyon dans les studios de Radio Canut : freestyler uniquement sur des vieilles faces B de son groupe Crown City Rockers, ou sur des instrus de maxis sur lesquels il a déjà enregistré. Bien épaulé par Raistlin, il a parfaitement joué le jeu en ne rappant aucun de ses vieux textes, mais en prenant du plaisir à freestyler sur ses anciennes instrus ! (9 mn)

Les Tontons Mixeurs Mixtape vol. 1 "Donne-moi un groove"

A la suite du volume 1 des Tontons Mixeurs,  Elber & Whyninot proposent un volume 2, avec une pochette toujours aussi originale confectionnée par Maltfunk.

Mêlant joyeusement l’atmosphère 70′s de certains films français à une ambiance Funky Hip-Hop, cette fois-ci la ligne de conduite est plutôt orientée dancefloor, B-Boys et B-Girls (mais pas que), accessible à tout curieux de petites perles musicales : une fine sélection de morceaux Breakbeat, Funk, Hip-Hop, tous récents de ces 10 dernières années et 100% vinyl !

La playlist se veut pointue et éclectique, alternant entre morceaux rappés et autres entièrement instrumentaux, produits par des machines ou joués par des musiciens… On retrouve des habitués des mixes de l’Antichambre (Insight, Chali2Na, Beastie Boys, Raashan Ahmad, Giant Panda…) des spécialistes du B-Boying (Cleon, DJ Suspect, DJ Format…), des producteurs français (Olivier Corre, Moar & Goodka, Mr President), des sonorités latines ou afro (Greenwood Rythmm Coalition, Fort Knox Five, Stereophonk, Renegades of jazz), sans oublier Quantic, incontournable pour ce genre de mix.
