With more than a hint of the Mike Skinners about him, we talk about his real lyrical content skipping from raving to Afghanistan, how he feels about his spectacular start to 2012 and why Mobb Deep went downhill after 1997.

By now everyone will know about Bloc shutting down before the party had really got started on the first night, but there are still a lot of questions as to what actually happened. So we caught up with James Tec of Plex - who were meant to be hosting a showcase at the event in collaboration with Perc Trax hosting Cosmin TRG, Martyn, Objekt and others.

Having spoken to some of the Bloc guys, James believes there was an issue with the tickets, as people were apparently able to alter them to gain entry, as well as The Pleasure Gardens site simply not being ready.

Check out the interview in full below where we chat about James' experiences of the festival, what he knows about what happened, and also how he tried to make the best of a bad situation by taking to Twitter on Saturday and organized a party for Bloc ticket holders which went off at The Bussey Building in Peckham.

He also confirmed to us that at Corsica Studios on October 5 they will host Arpanet aka Gerald Donald which will be his first UK performance.

We caught up with the head of Electric Deluxe and general techno legend, Speedy J, for a catch up of what he's got coming up, what's happening with Electric Deluxe both as a label and with their hosting of a stage at Mysteryland.

Coming up at the Dutch festival, Speedy has programmed a festival stage which will host Jeff Mills, Xhin, Perc and more.

So with other arenas being arranged by the likes of A-Trak and Visionquest if you are free on August 25 - a trip to the continent may not be such a bad idea.

What the hell has happened to summer? Who knows. It was alright for a bit, but mainly shit, Creamfields was a nightmare, Bloc was shit – but on the plus side there has been some awesome music which has emerged, and some of it is in this here mix.

From L-Vis 1990 to Scuba, reworkings of classic R&B tracks and some British electronic music icons the idea of this mix was to reflect what Radio ClubFoot is all about, sum up what we are into and tip out hats to some of our most favourite tracks which have appeared on the blog one way or another recently.

We were going through some of the old mixes we gathered from Nottingham and found this stonking effort from a chap called Lone who since February 2009 has gone onto be a bit of a big deal. Thom Yorke picked him to be one of the remixers of Radiohead's last album, 'The King of Limbs' and his own last album 'Galaxy Garden' was sublime.

This is what we said about the mix three and a half years ago:

"Formerly one half of Nottingham duo Kids In Tracksuits, Matt Cutler (a.k.a. Lone) has kept busy making spaced-out electronic music, most notably with his 2008 release Lemurian. MIX: Archive Mix from Lone, February 2009

To celebrate our 1,000th post on Radio ClubFoot and also the end of 2012 we thought we'd make this bootleg of Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used to Know' and Bat for Lashes' 'All Your Gold' - which isn't really reflective of what we do on the blog, but who cares.

'Somebody That Used to Have All Your Gold' is a bit weird, but the two tracks just sounded exactly the same and seem to fit quite well.
