Good news! Pacific Spirit episodes may be getting fewer and further in-between, but the vibes are as high as ever. Episode 94 comes courtesy of LA’s Jamma-Dee, an old friend who’s been in the mix for ages and played parties for us as far back as 2015.

The mix he’s prepared for us is described as a “summer-forward bounce and groove from the underground crates, 70 min of all wax from the chamber of Jamm”.

Tape 035 is here. A very good friend of our bar recorded a one-hour mix with tunes from very mixed genres. Based in Sanremo, Italy, James Falco (@jamesfalco) is a very active DJ and promoter who has already traveled the world DJ-ing. If you didn’t know, James is behind two beautiful boutique festivals from Sanremo, called Botanica and Piña, which you definitely need to visit.

Holy cheese and onions! I wanted this one to encompass some more styles, and to include some tunes which I've struggled to fit in somewhere else. I dub this the "electric guitar" one, heh. Or the "sexy sax" one. All I do is somehow connected to (primitive) electronics, but here the range of the selection espouses digi-folk, cocaine power rock, restaurant-style luk thung, leftfield zouk, lounge lizard jazzy balearica and guilty pleasure euro trash - amongst other things. I enjoyed putting this mix together and I hope you'll enjoy it too, even if it strays a fair bit from the usual fare. /Gumshoe
