Mika Dutsch @ Fusion Festival 2022

Sunday morning in the garage of the Baustelle, where the wonderful Ostend-Crew will create a very unique space for Leipzig's creative scene. I felt so lucky to be invited to the very first rave at that special place and I am also thankful to my companion Martin Moritz for giving me the permission to play a solo set there. Here's an excerpt of it, containing some of my favorite tracks of the past 10 years or so - so you may recognize one or two. please enjoy anyways! yours, akaak

Hey lovers, I just got back from Mexico last week and had to take some time off, to arrive back in Germany and recap all the crazy, sweet moments. I had a great trip, met lots of lovely people and explored different places. Thanks to everyone who travelled with us, opened their houses for us and shared lovely moments with us! We are defiantly in love with the country and the people. 

I tried to make it more a holiday trip, than rather a “tour” so I am happy to have played at least three gigs, that came across our route. It always went something wrong with the recorder, except this afternoon, so here is this little sundowner-session I played spontaneously at Bestiario Cholula, where I played the night before (recorder plugged out that night for the fog machine, seems ok for me :D). 

Muchas gracias to this lovely place, where you can watch the sunset, a volcano and the pyramids of Cholula. Because of them I named this set “a sacrifice to Cholula” – Cholula, we are giving our hearts to you! <3 

PS:  You may hear some of the cheezyness in this sunset-set. 

Das schlagende Herz für all die schönen Tracks haben die zitternden Hände vom Anfang gut übertönt. Verschieden Genres mitspielen zu lassen, ist nicht einfach, aber es war mir ein großes Anliegen es zu versuchen.

Garbicz 2024 | seebühne

jetzt fühle ich mich wieder ganz leicht. ich fühle mich lebendig. ich kann mir in dieser welt wieder eine zukunft vorstellen. ich habe wieder den mut für meine träume loszugehen. ich glaube wieder an die hellen tage.
in den letzten jahren war ich viel in der dunkelheit, auch wenn es nach außen nicht immer sichtbar war. der verlust geliebter menschen zog seelische schmerzen nach sich, die ich nicht glaubte zu überleben. trauer, die mich immer und immer wieder in wellen überrollte, zog in meinen körper, meine seele und meine gedanken ein und ich glaubte unzählige male an ihnen zu ertrinken. ich habe das licht nicht mehr gesehen. das leben fühlte sich an wie ein ewiger kampf. ich bediente meine gewohnten muster, die ich nach jedem verlust abspulte.. ich verlor mich in arbeit, projekten und rausch… ich versuchte mich nicht zu weit in die trauer fallen zu lassen aus angst zu tief zu fallen. ich hatte angst vor meiner eigenen gefühlswelt. ich hatte angst vor dem leben..
all das erzähle ich nicht, um mitleid zu erregen. ich möchte mit diesem set darauf aufmerksam machen, wie wichtig es ist, dass wir psychische erkrankungen ernst nehmen, dass wir darüber sprechen, dass wir den mut haben uns zu zeigen in der zerbrechlichkeit unseres seins. es ist immer noch ein tabu - thema, aber ich möchte, dass wir es sichtbar machen. es ist allgegenwärtig. wir alle haben menschen in unserem umfeld, die mit psychischen erkrankungen kämpfen, auch wenn es oft nicht auf den ersten blick sichtbar ist. depressionen sind real. trauma ist real. lasst uns das nicht unter den tisch kehren, nur weil wir von generationen groß gezogen wurden, die lieber verdrängen und vergessen, als dinge zu verarbeiten und zu heilen.. lasst uns gemeinsam da durch gehen - denn mental health matters!
ich habe versucht diese zeit des schmerzes und der trauer mit abstand in diesem set zu verarbeiten. die musik hat mir geholfen das alles nochmal zu fühlen. schonungslos, pur und in ihrer ganzen intensität. ich wünsche dir, egal welchen kampf du gerade kämpfst, dass du nicht alleine bist und du auch irgendwann wieder an die hellen tage glaubst.

Radio Reudnitz Bei Karla Butter (Part II)

Für die Ewigwachgebliebenen zum Feierabendbier, für die Frühaufsteher als Seelenfutter zum Wochenbeginn: Montagssorbet mit Laut & Luise. Alles erlaubt, was gut tut und Gedanken kreisen lässt, nur der Name ist Programm: cremig, fluffig und ganz schön weich.

Wieder wieder sachtes Kratzen und leichtes Knistern in Gehör und -hirn. Wer lange steht mag auch mal sitzen, wer immer wippt will auch mal ruhen. Heute so ziemlich ohne Taktung bringt @Ida-Daugaard grandiose Orchester aus Wind und Welle und Staub und Korn. Einfach mal hören, einfach mal lassen, großes Rauschen statt stetigem Rausch.

#086: Ida Daugaard - Montagssorbet mit Laut & Luise

Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going? Besides being the name of a famous Gauguin painting, these are questions that have most probably been valid for any given time period. In ancient Greece, Socrates believed that the purpose of the human mind is to explore the nature of virtue in order to perfect the soul and build a life based on ethical knowledge. Epicurus thought, meanwhile, that the goal of living is to receive pleasure, not sensory though, but through getting rid of physical pain, emotional restlessness, suffering and fear of death. Medieval Europe and India, despite cultural differences, had the same understanding of the meaning of life – worship of ancestors, adherence to common religious and mythical ideals, and the importance of ascribed status. Schopenhauer defined a person’s life as the product of a metaphysical will: people think they act on their own, but are in reality driven by someone else’s will. Danish philosopher Kierkegaard argued that life is full of absurdity and that humans must create their own values in an indifferent world. Pragmatic philosophers believe that instead of searching for the truth about life, people should seek a useful understanding of life. And so on and so forth. Natural disasters, epidemics, wars, the rich and the poor will come and go, but questions about the meaning of life and those who seek answers for them have always been and will forever be there. The text turned out this way perhaps because when listening to @oh_why’s music, you want to either ask yourself Gauguin’s questions or be the one who finds the answers.
