Dutch music producer and DJ. Zipping from extreme idm, darktrance and braindance, to unique ambient and field recorded soundscapes at breakneck speed. Rough yet emotional. Dark but sensitive.

With a history in death-metal, punk but also jazz and funk bands. Electronic music took over around 2006. Realizing a first release on Moon Koradji Records in 2008, Whrikk has been releasing on a multitude of labels around the globe. Such as also the renowned label Sanaton Records from Sweden, Parvati Records from Denmark and Real Vision Records in Germany.   As well as some special homemade releases of his own.

Soundscape of my latest set, a hypnotic tribal experimental techno journey that serves as the first door to a portal opening into different realms. 

In this set, With each beat, I aimed to enhance our tribal roots and connect with the profound energies of nature. As the deep dark monsoon weather envelops us. 

Every sound is a connection to our roots, bridging creator and creation in an auditory journey that will awaken your spirit. 

I had an incredible time crafting this piece, Let this guide you through uncharted territories of your own essence. What feelings does it evoke for you?

I believe there’s incredible power in a world moving toward freedom from senseless oppression and slaughter,
where solidarity happens not by nations, but across generations of like-minded people and cultures,
and not by land, but through communities.
After all, millions of years ago, we were all the same people.
I just want to meet more kindred spirits and have fun together!

This VA seeks to unveil the immaculate metric, the perfect alchemy of harshness and gentleness, of grace entwined with violence. For beauty and brutality arise at the very conception of narrative: twin, complementary forces of life that awaken novelty, the eternal cosmic dance of creation and destruction.

The music unfolds as testimony: bass lines that strike with raw force, melodies that embrace with tenderness. Each track reminds us that joy and sorrow are carried in the same breath, that collapse and renewal, despair and devotion, walk hand in hand.

The artists offer fragments of their journeys: trials endured, spirits broken and restored, their commitment renewed in sound. This is not only music but witness, a reminder that to love the world as it is, in its wounds and wonders, is the hardest vow.

Beauty and brutality are not enemies, but mirrors, reflecting us back to ourselves, guiding us toward wholeness and awakening.

Let this compilation speak where words fall short: of darkness and light, of heaviness and grace, of the paradox at the heart of existence. A sonic invocation to face the abyss, and to love it anyway.
