Apartment 54, fifth floor. Sveta is smoking on the open balcony, wrapped in an old puffer jacket. It's the typical timelessness of a weekend day when it's impossible to tell exactly what time it is. Children in snowsuits that make a «whoosh-whoosh» sound while walking are dragging a huge snow tubing somewhere, and a group of red-faced men, drinking on the bench in front of the building, just emptied another bottle of vodka. But Sveta isn't here — she's in Sochi twenty-something years ago. Blond-haired Sasha sees her off at the platform. He arrived ten minutes before departure: his eye is bruised («last night got into a fight with a guy from Tambov, nothing to worry about»), and he's holding flowers, plucked from a flowerbed. He promises to call. But it never happens. Where is he now? And on which balcony would she smoke, if he had called twenty-something years ago? If Sveta knew about the Sanguine’s mix for 5/8: radio, which helps distract from persistent thoughts about things that never happened, she would immediately turn it on. But she doesn't know

what we find episode 5 featuring sanguine - over recent years, sanguine has been steadily stirring tides from ocean to ocean with music landing far and wide on labels like sure thing, oslated, and lost properties. With his latest sliding doors release, sanguine builds a deep and cloudy soundscape across many different tempos creating a rich sonic world with titles like ear gum and gone to taste a dream to match. This finely tuned method of design and arrangement translates to selection and storytelling in mixes with notable features online for series like pure space, maybe, and decay audio. For this mix, sanguine moves through downtempo sounds from artists like tosca, dawn again, ambien baby, and more.

what we find episode fourteen featuring @_andriy_k___ - aka cusoon dj - Berlin based producer, live performer and dj. Andriy creates experimental club music and live listening performances, absorbing reflection of your reality with releases on labels like oscilla sound, related articles, and surf.

His latest release ‘Poetry of the Vanished Territories’ is an audiovisual exploration of central and southern Ukraine's landscapes, capturing memories of fading places that linger between what was and what remains. Using open source data and field recordings from locations, he blends fragments of reality, nature and memory.

For this feature, the mix drifts through the off-season of life, a time suspended between endings and awakenings. Melancholic, organic textures echo the hush of retreat, only to dissolve into the warm pulse of slow, luminous dub. To clean, to breathe.

what we find episode sixteen featuring somethingmaker - Based in Saigon (HCMC), Vũ is a multidisciplinary artist working across sound, poetry, visual arts. His sound focuses on the atmospheric, an ecosystem between the speakers. Insect-like tendencies, air and water, organic and non-organic blur together. He co-organizes Tắm Đêm_nightswim, a fluid platform for sound, poetry, and performance. His poetry and photography appeared in Noone Magazine issue 2 (Netherlands), and he has exhibited in group shows across Vietnam.

For this edition, he has prepared an unreleased hour of music. A series of slow morning movements, sonic sketches of environmental sounds and soft melodies, as fragile as insect wings.

Somethingmaker's music has made regular features on past what we find shows, so it's a pleasure to now welcome him onto the series to share an hour of unreleased music recorded in early 2025.

Radio 80000 is a non-commercial online radio from Munich and was founded in April 2015. It functions as a platform, promoting collaboration and cultural expression through music, dialogue and events throughout Germany. Currently more than 160 contributors regularly broadcast shows from Munich, Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, Leipzig, Hamburg and Vienna.

At Radio 80000, established and emerging musicians, DJs and artists as well as music enthusiasts without any professional ambitions engage in what has become an intensive exchange – offering a unique selection of timeless and contemporary music, with quality always being the top priority.

Since its foundation, the radio has grown into a network that unites individuals, leading to new collaborations between artists, labels and institutions inter/nationally.

Since March 2022 our studio is located at the Zirka.Space in Munich.
