Jansons returns to Circus Recordings with the infectious house anthem "Medicine" feat. Dope Earth Alien. Following his 2019 debut on Circus Recordings with the massive ‘Switch’, Jansons quickly established himself as one of the most exciting UK producers on the scene and continues to demonstrate his ability to deliver dancefloor-focused house music. His latest track "Medicine" is no different.

Accompanying Jansons on ‘Medicine’ are the vocals of familiar collaborator and Toronto-based singer-songwriter, Dope Earth Alien. With her signature sound echoing over the track, she layers fun vocal lines over Jansons bass and percussion-laden production.

Following up one of the standout tracks of 2019, ‘Switch’ dominated the dancefloors of clubs and was a regular feature in the record bags of artists such as Marco Carola and Honey Dijon, as well as receiving a number of spins from Annie Mac and Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1’s Dance Music shows.

Embedding himself amongst a new-wave of underground house artists, Jansons has regularly appeared on Radio 1’s Dance Music shows alongside a number notable releases on labels such as Knee Deep In Sound, FourThirtyTwo and Hot Creations. He’s also performed at venues and festivals such as Fabric, Hideout, BPM and Warehouse Project. With career-defining releases such as ‘Medicine’ on the horizon, 2021 promises to propel Jansons further into the spotlight.

It’s been a while now since dance music stopped suddenly and also it’s been a while since the Exium duo released stuff here at home.

Héctor and Valentin have been busy in their studios during these uncertain days, extracting the best out of their minds and tools to create this four tracker.
If you are familiar with the Exium sound over the years, you can feel here a sort of comeback to their primitive roots.
The sound is harsher, more violent, the components are a chosen few but well standing in the mix, the rhythms are broken and twisted. Nothing easy for the ear.

If you push the boundaries like they do, there’s still hope in techno as a constantly new and risky journey. Totally the opposite of cloning what is done.

“Don’t Ask When” twists 140 into something deliberate: snarling sublines, splintered percussion, and melodies that glint through the grit. Beneath it all, a lattice of percussive fragments and melodic dust builds tension in the gaps, giving each hit its own gravity.

Produced by Ezzrei, one of the few artists shaping dubstep from the Philippines, the track captures a tactile energy from the sub’s slow grind to the flicker of reverb in the high end.

Following their eponymously titled 2016 arrival on Midland's Graded imprint, as well as a recent follow-up on Dark Entries, @Solitary-Dancer return to the label on which they made their debut. Once again, this three-track 12” blends electro, ambient, and acid to superb, undeniably modern effect. 

With a running time of nearly 12-minutes, the title track 'Transmitting To Heaven' is an ambitiously sweeping cut that subtly moves through its various shades, from electro and acid, to strobe-lit 90s rave.

The B-side kicks off with 'Birth of Saturn', built around an arpeggiating synth that shifts and morphs throughout the track as the intensity ascends. The 12” closes off with 'At The End Of The Corridor Of Love, A Loss', a slow burning ambient piece that is as sombre as it is cinematic.
