We celebrated my dad's life last week. During his funeral service we played an audio tribute devoted to his career as a radio sportscaster. He was the voice and creator of the UNH Radio Sports Network, won Sportscaster of the year twice. In 2003, Dad was inducted into the UNH Hockey Hall of Fame. My dad, Jock, started his hockey broadcasting career in N.H. with the Berlin Maroons, known as the fabled “Flying Frenchmen.” He was the voice of the Berlin Maroons for 10 years. Then Moved to Dover N.H. and WTSN.
