Analog Disease is an electronic music project by Carmelo Zocco (@kamerol_music) and Pasquale Ruggiero (@rabanne_music), two selectors who share a passion for the warmth and depth of ‘80s sounds

Although they’ve both been living in London for years, it was in January 2024 that they became housemates, strengthening their collaboration. This change allowed their creative ideas to blend naturally, inspired by the city’s music scene and the rich textures of vintage analog machines.

Drawing inspiration from electro, house, and techno, their sound is always evolving with a focus on experimentation and sound exploration. While they haven’t released any original music yet, their goal is to craft a unique sound that connects with their audience and, one day, to perform live using the classic analog gear they love.

«My tendency for detached observation gave way to complete immersion in this release. Since I started working on it—about six months ago—I’ve learned to be present in the moment and have undergone profound inner changes. It was during this period that the nickname Paul Is was born.

There are moments in life that defy rational explanation. Despite a skeptical outlook, they remain magical—and that’s exactly the kind of moment captured in these tracks.

For those who purchase the full album, I’ve prepared two additional, more refined tracks. They don’t set a party mood but rather take on meaning depending on the space and occasion. Their title reflects my state of mind during the creation process.»

This project, codenamed Babylon 5, is a hybrid fusion of late 80s and early 90s Goa trance and progressive trance, colliding head-on with the raw energy of deep house, new beat, and acid house from the same era. Timeless influences, modern engineering crafted to push the boundaries of harmony, speed, and style. This time, the contrast is darker, the pulse is heavier, and the sonic weapons are sharper.

The music will first be available in digital format, a gateway to the upcoming vinyl editions, each one a unique, exclusive artifact for the true believers.
