Analog Disease is an electronic music project by Carmelo Zocco (@kamerol_music) and Pasquale Ruggiero (@rabanne_music), two selectors who share a passion for the warmth and depth of ‘80s sounds

Although they’ve both been living in London for years, it was in January 2024 that they became housemates, strengthening their collaboration. This change allowed their creative ideas to blend naturally, inspired by the city’s music scene and the rich textures of vintage analog machines.

Drawing inspiration from electro, house, and techno, their sound is always evolving with a focus on experimentation and sound exploration. While they haven’t released any original music yet, their goal is to craft a unique sound that connects with their audience and, one day, to perform live using the classic analog gear they love.

We’re back, with a new look. 

Our first instalment comes from Italian talent Shkedul, delivering a no-nonsense techno workout laced with acid undertones, proggy textures, and trance-laced peaks.

With his latest EP on Zonate already earning spins from Quest, Raphael Carrau, and Z@p, Shkedul makes it clear he’s not slowing down.

Now signed to M+ Artist Agency and having already shared a stage with Ben Klock, Dasha Rush and Blawan this year, he’s locked in for a big 2025.

No filler, all focus - in what is a classic feel for a Shkedul set.

Dafoe (@realdafoe) és l'alias d'Albert Romero, DJ barceloní. Des de les seves primeres experiències com a teclista en un grup de post-punk electrònic fins a les seves vivències recorrent les pistes de ball de festivals i clubs per tot Europa, el seu gust es moldeja entre les empentes del pogo i els balls fins a la matinada al ritme del bombo.

Aquest mestissatge sonor permet a Dafoe cultivar una àmplia i personal visió de la música que, combinada amb la seva destresa darrere els plats, li permet entrellaçar els gèneres amb facilitat, aconseguint en cada un dels seus sets un so únic que li és característic.
Des de la sonoritat envolvent del techno fins als intrincats ritmes del break i l'energia pulsant de l'electro, els seus sets funcionen com una porta d'entrada al seu espectre musical eclèctic i revelen l'empatia innata d'Albert per sintonitzar-se amb el present i adaptar-se al que cada moment requereix.

Desde sus primeras hazañas como teclista en un grupo de post-punk electrónico hasta sus experiencias recorriendo las pistas de baile de festivales y clubes alrededor de Europa, su gusto se entreteje entre los empujones del pogo y los bailes hasta la madrugada al ritmo del bombo. 
Este mestizaje sonoro permite a Dafoe cultivar una amplia y personal visión de la música que, combinada con su destreza tras los platos, le permiten entrelazar los géneros con facilidad, logrando en cada uno de sus sets un sonido único que le es característico.   

Desde los envolventes ritmos del techno hasta los intrincados beats del break y la energía pulsante del electro, sus sets funcionan como una puerta de entrada a su ecléctico espectro musical y revelan la empatía innata de Albert para sintonizar con el presente y adaptarse a lo que cada momento requiere.

Dafoe is the alias of Albert Romero, a Barcelona DJ. From his early exploits as a keyboardist in a post-punk electronic band to his time spent touring the dancefloors of festivals and clubs across Europe, his taste has been woven through pogo jostling and dancing till dawn to the beat of the kick drum.
This sonic melting pot enables Dafoe to cultivate a broad and personal vision of music that, combined with his skills behind the decks, allows him to blend genres with ease, achieving a uniquely distinctive sound in each of his sets.  

Ranging from the enveloping rhythms of techno to the intricate beats of break and the pulsating energy of electro, his sets serve as a gateway to his eclectic musical spectrum and reveal Albert's innate empathy to tune in the present and adapt to whatever the moment demands.    

In 2012, Dafoe began a long residency at Nitsa Club and in 2022, together with his colleagues Emilio and  Kinetic, launched a new series of events called "BUiT" at Barcelona's iconic LAUT club.

Fazack - Pulse

After a day spent unwinding by the river, deep in the Colombian jungle, final naps were taken in anticipation of the marathon Sunday ahead. 

As darkness fell, the night came alive. Overhead fans had their work cut out in the humid evening heat as Ricardo aka Azkuenaga, Bonanza resident and Argentinian DJ with roots from the '90s Ibiza scene, delivered two and a half hours of peak-time energy. He locked the dancefloor into a hypnotic state, driving it deep into the early hours before handing over to Nicolas Lutz. The crowd was in it for the long haul.

1) Introduce yourself?

Mark Bailey- Educator, bleep merchant, terrible drinking buddy. An old hat sometimes mistaken for a new kid on the block.

2) How would you describe your sound?

Consumerist techno, EBM, Dark Disco, there are plenty of names you could give it but I try to avoid the term 'chug'. It sounds like a drinking game... Or the breed of my dog. If the sound were an image it would probably be a H.R Giger painting reimagined by Caspar David Friedrich.
 
3) What are your plans for 2016?

Make music, vote in the referendum, raise my boy and bring another into the world with the lovely wife. I have two eps forthcoming on Nein round about August and a few remixes forthcoming as well, if only I could just finish them!

London based MAN2.0 AKA Mark Bailey has cut his teeth as a punter on London's club circuit, whether badly bodypopping to the Plump DJ's on Friday night's at Fabric, or losing his mind to the likes of Mr C, Layo & Bushwacka or Josh Wink at the End, all these different artists have shaped his attitude. After starting to produce his own tracks and posting mixes online as Manmachine201, Mark received a bit of attention from the Ransom Note and 44100hz Social Club before getting a number of track signed by Tronik Youth's NEIN Records. Recently mark DJ'ed with Tronik and Thomas Fruedenthal at Crack Bellmer in Berlin and has more gigs in the pipeline, notably at Nottingham's Till Death Do Us Disco in June. with Single's due imminently on Regith, Flight Recorder, Det Sync as well on MAN2.0's spiritual home NEIN, the year is looking particularly busy, add to the mix a new born baby and a toddler to look after things are looking quite chaotic!
