YOURHIGHNESS (YSS AUDIO / ROLLERBOYS) 

Yourhighness has been dj-ing since the mid-nineties and his eclectic style of DJ-ing has not only made him a name in Sweden but also internationally with appearances in Berlin, London, Paris, Barcelona, Moscow, Zürich, New York, and so on. 

Between 1999-2004 He run the imprint Maracas, releasing industrial techno, at first music by himself and fellow producer Liberg in the duo Liberg & Wikstrom, and later artists such as: Go-Hiyama, Tuomas Rantanen, Archae & Grovskopa. 

In summer 2006 he founded the Club Rollerboys with college Mans, which later evolved into Rollerboys Recordings releasing a string of epic masterpieces including artists like: Bogdan Irkuk a.k.a. Bulgari, Mark Seven, Discodromo, Ultracity, Prins Thomas, Mark E and Fabrizio Mammarella to name a few. 

Over the last couple of years Yourhighness has been producing a lot of remixes and solo- releases on the labels such as: 
Cocktail d'Amore,  Rett I Fletta (run by Prins Thomas) Born Free, Baenger, Rollerboys Recordings). 
In the duo Ultracity with fellow producer Raam, he has released numerous releases and remixes on Rollerboys Recordings and other labels dating back as far as 2007.

Victor Norman is a Stockholm-based musical performer who has been consistently delivering groundbreaking releases since 2014. His partnership with Amselcom began with the release of "Hymn" in 2017, which quickly became a popular club hit. Since then, this successful collaboration has led to the release of his second album. Victor's sound is truly unique, as it blends elements of Techno, House, and Downtempo to create a stable presence amidst the ever-changing music scene.

As an internationally renowned DJ, Victor has gained recognition for his dynamic and engaging performances worldwide. His music is often described as evoking feelings of "early morning euphoria," making it perfect for those moments when the sun starts to rise back into the rave.

With releases on a variety of respected labels, including Akumandra, Akasha Mx, Amselcom, Exotic Refreshment, Urban Cosmonaut, and Heimlich, Victor has established his own sound and dynamic as a creator and performer. Not satisfied with simply making and playing music, he has also founded his own label, Recursive Music. The label highlights his unique sound and that of like-minded artists. BRUS 25 - Victor Norman

Friends! Once again, we cannot stop thanking you enough for the incredible turn up at our spontaneous entrance night at Lykke Nytorget in Stockholm. The entire event turned into an instant love story, with many more exciting things to come. Joining us on that very same night Hannah Prescott @hypsmusic and Åke Falk @akefalkog , who literally kicked in the door in our faces. In a nice way.

Hannah Prescott is a badass selector paving her way through the Swedish club scene with a wide range of underground house, techno, bass & breaks. She’s really unafraid of mixing lots of styles and influences into her sets, mostly inspired from the 90s UK, Jersey, Chicago and NY scene. Other than playing at clubs and festivals like CCTV, Under Bron, Trädgården, Department, Way out west, NEU , sharing stage with many international names, she's also running @mental with one of our lovely friends @djdoden featuring some fantastic bookings.

And then we have the lovely BACK in the B2B: Åke Falk aka Øgland - resident DJ at Trädgården, Under Bron a part of Embassy Stockholm, and booking manager at Ivans Pilsnerbar under the slogan “Pilsner, Pasta, Techno” in Gothenburg. He jumped on the train from Gothenburg to add some extra TLC to the mix, while also putting a smile on our faces. Åke's musical spectrum resembles that of Hannah's, with a nice overlapping blend of influences.

BRUS 26 - Hannah Prescott B2B Åke Falk

Storken & JStaaf recently returned from their highly anticipated Mexico tour, showcasing their latest release "Tunghugg," which is now available on the renowned @RunningBack label. We had the pleasure of hosting these talented artists for our bi-weekly broadcast at Lykke Nytorget last Thursday, and the vibe was electric.

Let's begin by introducing @storkenmusic, a DJ/producer with a unique blend of influences. Born in '93, Storken grew up in a musical family in the Swedish countryside, where he was deeply inspired by 80’s icons like Phil Collins, Queen, and Tina Turner. Early exposure to music led him to explore various instruments such as drums, guitars, piano, and turntables, all while developing a passion for underground electronic genres. Storken masterfully combines the progressive elements of his Swedish heritage with an electronic disco style, resulting in a captivating musical fusion.

Storken's debut release, "Lille Vals," on the esteemed label Running Back, as well as his debut EP, "Skogsdisko," have received recognition from respected figures in the industry, including @Annie Mac, @Pete Tong, @Folamour, @The Blessed Madonna, @PurpleDisco Machine, @Patrick Topping, @Andhim, and @Krystal Klear. These endorsements are a testament to Storken's exceptional talent and his ability to create music that resonates with a wide audience.

Now, let's turn our attention to @J_staaf, a versatile artist known for crafting dynamic sets filled with playful grooves and always keeping some light present in his music. With releases on labels like @Days Like Nights/Armada, @Beatfreak Records, @Running Back, @NEIN, @Espacio Cielo, @Storkenland, and @Gods Groove, JStaaf has built a reputation for his vibrant and colorful tunes. While his musical style may vary, one thing remains consistent: JStaaf's compositions are infused with light and a commitment to delivering a good time.

Introducing towLie: Playful, Post-Punk Infused Techno Maestra
We are delighted to present towLie, the talented Swedish artist whose unique blend of playful, post-punk-infused techno has captured the attention of electronic music enthusiasts worldwide. Hailing from Stockholm, towLie is not only a skilled DJ and producer but also an esteemed club promoter and label owner.

At the core of towLie's musical spectrum lies a distinct sound that effortlessly combines elements of post-punk and techno, blending darker sonic experiences with glimpses of sunshine. Records, a split 12” with Five o'clock Traffic on CAF?, a remix on Funeral Fog Rec, etc. Her alias skitungen also recently released a 7” on Rubber on Den Haag.

One can't ignore the striking imagery associated with towLie's music. As evidenced by the artwork featuring a red demon with its distinctively bulbous butt or her eternal fascination with watermelons (INSTANT LOVE!), towLie's tracks encapsulate a devilish, mischievous, yet playful nature. Yet another love story unfolds at Lykke, this time featuring two extraordinary DJ’s and producers: Dj City and towLie.

First in the spotlight is Dj City, a seasoned artist with an impressive background in music production and DJing. Hailing from Stockholm and currently based in Berlin, Dj City has garnered praise for his exceptional mixing skills and ability to craft captivating vibes over extended periods. As exemplified by his collaborations with Sling on the Born Free label, Dj City's proficiency behind the decks has been commended by none other than Samo DJ, who recognized his talent for seamlessly navigating between the realms of house, disco, and techno.

As a resident DJ for the renowned Cocktail D'Amore party series, Dj City has become an integral part of Berlin's vibrant music scene. His eclectic sets effortlessly traverse diverse musical landscapes, captivating audiences with his seamless transitions and expertly curated selections.

In addition to his prowess as a DJ, Dj City has also made significant contributions as a producer. Since his debut on Public Possession in 2019, he has explored various sonic territories, finding a temporary sweet spot in what can be loosely described as vocal house. However, his productions transcend simple categorization, drawing inspiration from EBM, Italo, and electro clash. BRUS 28 - Dj City

@Elfenberg, the enigmatic Swedish artist, has transitioned from a shroud of mystery to a recognizable figure in the international music scene. Since his emergence as Elfenberg in 2017, his musical compositions have garnered significant recognition, propelling him to the top of music charts and securing his presence on prestigious festival lineups worldwide. Notably, Elfenberg has become an integral part of Oliver Koletzki's esteemed Stil Vor Talent family, having released his inaugural EP with them in early 2018.

It feels gooood, to be back! And what an amazing start with no other than ABSTRAXION from Marseille, France cooking our little sweet spot LYKKE on Söder into a hotpot. Mixing that stretches genres, ages and intensities. A real deliverance. Rumours has it this might not be the last time we see him..

Harold Boué, aka Lion’s Drums and Abstraxion, is a French producer based in Marseille.
The desire to explore different musical territories to his Abstraxion alias led to Lion’s Drums’s birth.  As a tribute to his city, Marseille, Lion’s Drums creates music with its characteristics in mind: a bit rough though luminous and influenced by elements of the Mediterranean, African, and Northern European. This translates into heavily percussive sounds, italo-disco grooves, tribal house and voodoo-techno.

Lion’s Drums released a first EP on John Talabot’s Hivern Discs, made a psychedelic acid remix of “Goca Dunya” (Altin Gün), and in 2021 released his first album “Kagabas”.  “Kagabas” is an audio project comprising new compositions based on field recordings of original songs the Kagabas people sing to wild animals and their habitat.

A second artist album, “La Batterie”, was released on Berlin-based Cocktail d’Amore (2022).  Lion’s Drums nailed it with his edits for Sandy B’s classics “Student Nights” & “Amajovi Jovi”.
Harold also runs Biologic Records with partner in crime DC Salas.

Tannaz Bassier is a DJ from Stockholm, whose musical journey began as a dedicated dancer in the electronic music scene. Music and dancing have always been her ultimate medicine, and over the years, she has spent countless hours seeking inspiration at various raves, clubs, and festivals. Her mission behind the decks is to give back the trance-like state and healing that she has experienced herself.

Her wide-ranging style has brought her to venues such as Slakthuset, Debaser and festivals such as What a View, Borderland, and Woodland. Her sets may include anything from oriental melodies to deep hypnotic techno, playful house, and more. Always staying true to her core– spreading energy to the dance floor.

https://soundcloud.com/jo-bubbles invites you to his world of many influences and expressions; producer, DJ, party organizer and dancing enthusiast. Behind the name is Jonas, a father figure of Stockholm's small but abundantly equipped disco scene.

The Jo Bubbles persona is a fairly new acquaintance among Stockholm’s many DJs, and with the new packaging comes new music from Jo’s studio. This is where his daydreaming of the world’s many colorful dance floors is being translated to harmony. Songs are crisply electronic, relentlessly groovy and naively melodic, far from ”intelligent” and far from the mainstream, but with a solid foundation of throbbing patterns, rhythm and bass. It’s surely “for the dancefloor”, though not for big room fist-pumping.

As a DJ, Jo is grounded in the soul, disco and house sounds of his beginnings in the late 90’s. The foundation is still very much present in his sound but with a broader range spanning dub, techno, and all things quirky and leftfield.

With the release of his first EP on Berlin label TTNoTDB (The Transient Nature of The Disco Business), a home-brewed cassette EP with hidden slow jams and a release on Mark Seven's seminal Parkway Records, under the alias Joey Beads, Jo is gaining followers from across the board with his bubbling proto beats. More to come in just a few fingersnaps!

Johanna Beckman’s journey in the music industry began two decades ago, fueled by a lifelong passion for music that started in her childhood. Music was her constant companion, from creating artist lists and mixtapes to capturing Trackslistan on cassette and music videos on VHS. Over the years, Johanna honed her skills in developing exceptional experiences and novel concepts in music. Her superpower lies in the dramatic aspects of her work, creating compelling lineups and content. At FKP Scorpio, she works as part of a collaborative team dedicated to promoting music and culture.

Johanna's artistic roots extend back to her management and booking work and her organisation of the legendary Gagnef festival in Dalarna, which she regards as her training ground. This experience instilled in her the importance of crafting complete and enchanting experiences. She further developed her expertise during her tenure as a creative director and booking manager at renowned clubs in Stockholm.

Her current projects include the Rosendal Garden Party, a unique festival on Djurgården featuring top artists, and the innovative club concept "Kind People Club," both focused on creating inclusive and enjoyable spaces for people of all ages.

Johanna's artistry extends beyond her role as a promoter; she's also known for hosting the music radio program "Kalejdoskop'' on P2, further embodies her dedication for curating, promoting, and creating memorable musical experiences, making her an influential figure in the music scene.

BRUS 35 - Beckman

Giulia Gutterer https://soundcloud.com/giulia-gutterer , original child of Italy's Bolzano mountains and land of delicious cow’s milk, has migrated the cream of Italo to the center of Berlin's club scene.

Equally obsessive about Hi-NRG, Downtempo, New Beat, Dark & Nu Disco she quests through the dirtiest depths of the internet and record stores for rhythms so inviting that you can't help but bathe, kick and writhe in the sludge and dust with her. She's raised iconic dancefloors worldwide with a style that is an eclectic swag of sex, humor and psychedelia. A collision of expansive beats and seductive evolving moods that have hypnotized Berlin's audiences at @berghain_ostgut Panorama Bar for Italorama, @cocktail.damore.berlin , Salon zur Wilden @renate.berlin , @rso.berlin , and @sisyphosberlin to mention a few.

Though she's “just a DJ, not a f***ing neurosurgeon”, she is the rock and caretaker of Wrong Era and Slow Motion organizations and parties all over the world; notorious, sweaty meet-ups for all the "not-too-hard tunz" music lovers.

We’re super happy to have Giulia Gutterer welcomed into our family, with her having this genuine energy from square one. At one point we thought of making a longer piece, but we decided leave it out there with her own comment:

“I had real fun doing it, I wanted to mix more different stuff and music styles, that I am quite into, as well as some new songs and forever favorites to top up the cake! Hope you can feel the groove, cuz I felt it <3”

BRUS 36 - Giulia Gutterer

Mattias El Mansouri https://soundcloud.com/mattiaselmansouri is a Stockholm based DJ and producer. He co-runs the mobile club @ritmoliminal_sthlm together with his friend Sergej Orlov and has been found spinning records at most places in Stockholm, making people dance to anything from Romanian minimal to funk from Cabo Verde. 

When he’s not busy studying, working, daydreaming or thinking about thinking, he produces murky, percussion-driven dance music on the border between techno and house- some of which saw the light of day earlier this summer on @aniara-rec, for which he has more releases lined up later this year.

BRUS 37 - Mattias El Mansouri

Harold Boué, artistically known as Abstraxion and Lion’s Drums, is a French producer and musician based in Marseille. His music transcends traditional boundaries, blending a variety of genres and influences, from Italo disco and EBM to early trance, techno rave, and synth wave, crafting a unique and captivating auditory experience. Abstraxion is renowned for his unpredictable sets, often taking audiences on an unexpected musical journey.

In his live performances, Harold masterfully combines human artistry with electronic innovation, using his modular GRP A4 synthesizer to reinterpret the euphoric sounds of the ‘80s and ‘90s in a contemporary, dancefloor-friendly style.

Apart from his musical creations, Harold is a founder of Biologic Records and a key figure in Mar- seille’s underground scene, being involved in initiatives like the Mouillette queer parties and the Encore Encore festival. Following the release of his album on Dischi Autunno in 2023, Harold starts 2024 with a bang, introducing ‘Ignition.’ This new single sets the dance floor ablaze, resonating as a vibrant echo of ‘90s rave culture, seamlessly infused with modern trance-techno flair.

BRUS 040 - Abstraxion (live)

Time for some more frequency memories from BRUS Radioskugga, that went down in December last year. The one and only @yourhighness jumped in last minute to raise the temperature even further. Much love and respect for always keeping it tight.

For you who don't know who we're talking about, here's a short bio:

Yourhighness has been DJ-ing since the mid-90's and his eclectic style of DJ-ing has not only made him a name in Sweden but also internationally with appearances in Berlin, London, Paris, Barcelona, Moscow, Zürich, New York, and so on.

Between 1999-2004 he ran the imprint Maracas, releasing industrial techno, at first music by himself and fellow producer Liberg in the duo Liberg & Wikstrom, and later artists such as: Go-Hiyama, Tuomas Rantanen, Archae & Grovskopa.

In summer 2006 he founded the Club Rollerboys with college Mans, which later evolved into Rollerboys Recordings releasing a string of epic masterpieces including artists like: Bogdan Irkuk a.k.a. Bulgari, Mark Seven, Discodromo, Ultracity, Prins Thomas, Mark E and Fabrizio Mammarella to name a few.

Over the last couple of years Yourhighness has been producing a lot of remixes and solo- releases on the labels such as: Cocktail d'Amore, Rett I Fletta (run by Prins Thomas) Born Free, Baenger, Rollerboys Recordings). In the duo Ultracity with fellow producer Raam, he has released numerous releases and remixes on Rollerboys Recordings and other labels dating back as far as 2007.
