this live radio show offers a rare and vital opportunity to hear first-hand from those most directly affected by current housing policies for asylum seekers in Scotland.

It is informed and inspired by a special radio workshop funded by the Scottish Refugee Council that took place in May at Radio Buena Vida facilitated by Sadia Sikandar, an award-winning Glasgow-based artist, photographer, writer, activist and new refugee, with soundscape and recordings by Riah Naief, founder of the Listen Gallery in Glasgow, in which asylum seekers shared their personal stories and explored the deep mental, emotional, and practical challenges of prolonged hotel stays—a situation impacting many vulnerable individuals and families in Glasgow and across the UK.
