We are marking the start of a new year of FUNK FOUNDATIONS at RADIO.D59B.  I will continue brining you more concept shows…focusing on the legacy and foundations of the funk, jazz-funk, latin, and fusion …
Same as last year, I will kick-off the new season with another tribute to Upstate NY (pt. 3)…. with handpicked material from my private collection… 
I will shine light on few legends in the jazz-funk style… but as always, I am especially excited to play some rare and lesser-known stuff from Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Alabama and many small towns in between and around…

Definitly one of my favorite rides of the 2025 summer. Not gonna lie, I was quite nervous in the beginning. Tugged in between the trees, good sound, lovely lights and a fantastic group of people standing on the other side of the booth. That felt good and special, and got me a little nervous at the same time. Just had 1,5 hour but managed to squeeze in a good variety of tunes. Started with a gentle touch but realised I needed some more energy and quickly found my way to some more heavier/deeper stuff (or at least heavy for my taste). After that I found a way for some more energetic uplifting rhythms and finally ended it all with a very soft landing.
I think I described it well enough, but if you can think of a better description, I am all ears after you have listened to the mix :)
