This set was recorded as part of Sense's event S H I R O: an immersive digital experience re-imagining Nature, on February 5th 2021.

S H I R O is an immersive virtual experience through which to perceive Nature in a digital form, by bringing together a multi-disciplinary array of artists to showcase their work. The event was live-streamed by Grow and powered by Bramble, a uniquely designed platform to interact and explore different virtual worlds from the cosiness of our home.

M.O.B curated the line-up with 7 different artists during a 4-hour journey of chill-out soundscapes in the Main Room and dance floor goodies in the Lounge Room. Thank you SENSE for inviting us to participate in such an exciting exchange of artistic performances. It was a unique experience that brought together both existing friends and new ones to share moments in a virtual but very familiar environment.

S H I R O: Sense Presents Javi (M.O.B)

For the second edition of Rugged Sessions we have invited the multi-talented Adam Stromstedt. The Sydney based DJ/Producer has had some excellent releases on labels like KANN, Banoffee-pies, Gestalt Records, Bossmusik and more. 
Adam is also host of his own radio show called Always Sometimes and he is co-founder of Lyssna Records. He has recorded a beautiful laidback 1 hour mix for us filled with soulful and dubby house with a lot of warm jazz influences. Just like his production style, this is right our cup of tea. Rugged Sessions - Adam Stromstedt

After a 1-year hiatus, the Avenue Red 1210 podcast series has a fresh installment of 12 records, each one being 10+ years old. Stepping up to the platters we have Moutier, a veteran DJ duo from Leeds who have in recent years also turned their hands to being producers and label owners. In 2017 they launched their Enclave Records imprint, which alongside their own works has featured an illustrious roster of talent, including Harrison BDP, Javonntte, Kresy, BioRoot and Niklas Andersson among others.

No strangers to the origins of true deep house, these guys have dug through an enormity of special black gold releases over the last couple of decades. Also with them having played a lot of gigs around the UK (especially in the north of England) throughout this time, they are well qualified to compile and mix something timeless and special from their collective treasure trove of records. They show their fine skills as DJ's in the way they hold that elusive dancefloor groove as they flutter through the tracks. To dance or not to dance? It is simply not an option.

"Here's 12 of our favourite cuts from that truly golden period of 1995 until just after the millennium. We purposely avoided going for something super banging, but rather just some good old fashioned deepness and gentle undulation, building towards the unreal Journeyman (an under-the-radar alias of the legendary Jean F. Cochois, better known as The Timewriter) track at the end.

A lot of these producers get somewhat overlooked when looking back at this period and perhaps, apart from true Discogs saddos like us, don't get the love from the current generation of house heads that they deserve. Performing with the Quaidra Reverb engine of the MFX Pedal and SH-101. Changes to the vast reverb are integrated into the performance with the A and B knobs preassigned to reverb Damping and Low Cut.

The SH-101 is connected directly to the MFX Pedal for processing through the Quaidra Reverb engine, a vast reverb based on 90s rack reverb algorithms. Using the A and B knobs, preassigned to reverb Damping and Low Cut respectively, changes to the reverb are integrated into the performance, with the Damping reduced to intensify the sound and length of the tail. The lush infinite reverb from the Quaidra creates a vast tonal blanket underlying the bright and simple sounds of the 101.
