Epic Vinyls from Brazil aka. DJ Contracapa, a Danish musicologist and huge Brazilian music fanatic, presents his first mixtape for The Lake. For an hour he takes us through the emotional depths of samba/bossa, afro brazilian, haunting vocals and spiritual songs, all collected over the last 15 years during many travels to Brazil.

Soul Quest Records proudly announces the release of “All Night” by Max Sinàl & KingCrowney, the highly anticipated follow-up to their hit single “Intentions” featuring Liv East, which continues to rack up millions of streams. This time, Max Sinàl and KingCrowney return with British-Iranian DJ, producer, and vocalist Yasmin for a new sonic journey, landing December 12th, 2025.

“All Night” hits the sweet spot between deep house and broken beat, combining hypnotic grooves, soulful instrumentation, and a wall-shaking bassline destined to move both underground dancefloors and festival sound systems alike. The single showcases their signature balance of depth and rhythm, with KingCrowney’s soaring trumpet lines cutting through the mix and Yasmin’s velvety, soulful vocals providing a raw emotional core. The track also pays homage to one of Detroit’s finest, sampling a moment from Kenny Dixon Jr. (aka Moodymann)’s iconic Red Bull Music Academy interview from 2010, used with full blessing from the man himself.

Reference Point special event 'Down By The Sea' taking place on the beach in Asturias , Northern Spain together with our co-host Herminio Afonso. 
DJ's along with myself and George Arthur are our Spanish host Her Minio (Spain), along with Les Fisher (UK), Bjorn Kvalen (Norway), Gary Johnson (UK)and Mosk (Spain).
The event, as previous years is taking place at 'Hotel La Farola Del Mar Llanes' for two days.
Friday 9th and Saturday 10th September 2016, starting at 20:00 hrs until 03:30 on Friday, and on Saturday from 18:30 until 04:30 hrs
Here's a selection of some of the sort of music we'll be playing over the two days. Last two years events were excellent, so looking forward as always to this end of summer R P party.
