Here is the full recording of my recent return to one of my favourite places to play in Berlin. Georgia Bar, i started at 23.00 and finished just before 0700...just the way I like it. Playing many Voices classics and pretty much doing the full range. Settled into a firm house, uptempo groove too. And midway through the night, had people dancing in the booth, behind up on the ledge and on the stage. So I feel..job done :). There were a few sound issues during the mix but overall..its hopefully good for you and a litlte glimpse to what we can acheive musically from night til mid morning :). Thanks to everyone on this recent trip for the bookings and all the staff at Georgia Bar ...enjoy x

What up IC cru! Been a minute - how you been? We took a little break to let that last mix marinate but we’re back with another for your discerning pleasure. This time around we’re excited to showcase a real UK OG who has been active in various guises over the years, flying the Balearic flag as a DJ, producer and connoisseur of fine choons in The Main Stem circa 2010 and lately with Midlands trio Wrekin Havoc, whose edits and original productions - both of which blur the lines of what is what - have been on rotation in my bag since they first stepped on the scene a few years ago. It’s Rob.J! Robert to his mum, when not up into the wee hours pushing rare track rips to his friends via online chat like some kind of strange drug dealer with incredible taste, has been hard at work with his WH mates Stu & Rich, working on new music seemingly nonstop and blowing minds at last year’s Rotation festival in the English countryside. 

Rob is truly taking us on a Balearic journey with heaps of impossibly rare tunes that sound like they were beamed from the White Island telepathically, mixed by the seat of his pants over a whopping 150 minute mix! Obscure 80s pop gems meeting late-decade dance music head-on, 90s breakbeats, Italo cheese, Spanish vocals dancing with guitar licks - one could be forgiven to think this was recorded poolside at Ku in ‘88!

Sounds in Waves - Episode 27

After 17 years of non-stop parties - 12 of them under the umbrella of Nitsa Club - Libido said goodbye leaving behind dozens of memorable nights at the club. Amp Fiddler, Mike Huckaby, Glenn Underground, Dee Diggs, Ata Kak, and Jamie Tiller, among others, took to the booth of the party run by Pau Roca and Gon, which became a true institution when it comes to dance music in Barcelona.

For this final edition of Libido, in addition to inviting some of the party’s regular DJs such as Breixo Martínez, Dadame, Pablo Torres, and PeBe, they put together a special 10” record featuring tracks by Pau Roca himself and DJ Bruce Lee, as well as a fanzine with photos, texts, and memories from these 17 years.

Here at SOULMEEX, we couldn’t be prouder about bringing to you exclusively the b2b of Pau and Gon which closed this amazing chapter of their music careers.
