So here goes number 26 and a new start to the Radio Guest House sessions. A collection of some old favourites that have not left the bag for some time and bits n pieces of new music that tickled my fancy whist touring Indian this last winter. I seem to have taken quite a dubby tour on this adventure which wasn’t my initial thoughts when I sat down to make the mix, but there you go, it goes to show that once we dip into the realm of Dub it takes over the studio and touches everything for some time after”

Tommy Stewart is an important underground figure for the funk music. Born in 1939…he was drawn to music at early age thanks to his mother. In 1964 he played with Fred Wesley and members of the 55th Army band. He wrote and composed for TV and even played with Blue Note recording artist Duke Pearson. In 1973 he arranged and composed a musical score called “The Burning of Atlanta” and later on, worked as arranger, producer, performer and writer for the likes of Clarence Carter, Candi Staton, Johnny Taylor, Major Lance, Eddie Kendricks, Luther Ingram, Millie Jackson, Flip Wilson, Roy Gaines, Tamiko Jones and many others. His self titled LP and sophomore follow up as Stevo, has Stewart often labeled as an innovator of disco-funk….but on my books he is a funk master…enjoy the show

It is with my immense pleasure and honour that I host my bro, great friend, superb DJ and Selector: DJ MÜLL.

DJ MÜLL: DJ and Selector, passionate researcher and collector of music in all its forms. He has been at the forefront of organising musical events for years, from the artistic direction of historic Veronese realities such as Interzona and Kroen, to his presence in the Friendly Disco People collective with the intention of spreading club culture in all its forms.
Since  2023, he has been collaborating with LOOSE.FM, a London based radio, for which he runs
‘Spirito Balearico’, a sonic journey into the eclectic Balearic world with evanescent boundaries, with the ability to transport listeners to a beach in front of a magical sunset!
In 2024 he is the author of ‘The Balearic Tapes’, a series in which he narrates the best releases from the balearic world and beyond for Le Disque Record Store in Verona.
His selections are an unpredictable and eclectic journey through the many facets of the Balearic world, including funk, Italo-disco and electro forays.
