RNT are revisiting a few of the standout cuts from last year’s massive LP drop by Brooklyn band 79.5 with a varied dancefloor-ready remix package. NYC based bass enthusiast Jubilee gets peak-time freaky with the anthemic “B.D.F.Q” as featured in her recent BBC Essential Mix, talented upstart producer Malik Hendricks delivers a sublimely deep take on “Feel Like Dancing,” label boss JKriv turns in a bouncy house version of “Our Hearts Didn’t Go That Way,” local funkster FSQ gets groovy for a very different reading of “B.D.FQ,” and Damien Harris takes the sultry “Feel Like Dancin” into slow-rolling new disco territory.

Now live at the Blur Podcasts, the DJ duo - Interstate 55! 

Having met in 1995 at a warehouse party on the south side of Chicago, they became press correspondents for Coda and Trax Magazine in Paris and Chicago for 3 years, with the two boys helping promote the Midwest sound in Europe, interviewing some of Chicago's biggest legends. The duo then evolved into an artist collective that helped book several Chicago DJs at public and private parties on the Paris scene, and several bookings on major radio stations. 

25 years after the best parties, the Interstate 55 collective is back to promote the underground on SoundCloud since last year, with “The Lake Shore Drive Series” podcasts, several invitations on top radio shows, and the release of the first productions planned for next year.

Wilson Kentura (Felisberto Arthur) ist ein junges Talent aus Luanda (Angola). Als DJ und Produzent hat er sich mittlerweile in der House-Szene Angolas einen Namen gemacht.

Seine Leidenschaft für die Kunst der Musik begann im Alter von 14 Jahren und hatte als Haupteinflüsse Künstler wie John Legend, Atjazz, Salif Keita, Michael Jackson, Dennis Ferrer, Bob Sinclar, Phil Collins, Kassav, Daft Punk und viele andere. In seiner Karriere als Musikproduzent durchlief er viele Stile, darunter Kuduro, Rap, Kizomba und schließlich seine Leidenschaft für Kunst, die in der House-Musik ihren Höhepunkt fand.

Er gilt als einer der Mentoren des Soufull-Stils und des Afro-House in Angola. Seine Remixe und seine Songs haben die Aufmerksamkeit mehrere Radio- und Fernsehsender gebracht. Einige Tracks sind bereits auf Labels wie z.B: Arrecha Records, Aluku Records, Oluwki Music, Offering Records "Seres Produções" erschienen. Sein eigenen Label läuft unter dem Namen VOZES QUENTES.

RADIO ELECTRONICA was one of the first independent radio programmes to go on air in Jena in 1999. The background was to bring colour into the dreary Thuringian radio programme and to create a platform where regional and national artists from the electronic music scene could present themselves and exchange ideas. RADIO ELECTRONICA claims to be always on the trail of new influences, trends and artists in the field of electronic music.

The show quickly developed from the first pre-productions to a live broadcast, which can be heard every four weeks on Saturdays from 7pm to midnight on the open channel Jena on UKW 103.4 Mhz and via online stream (https://radio-okj.de/wp-content/themes/radiookj/okj-player.html).

With a steadily growing fan base, RADIO ELECTRONICA is still a firm institution in the field of electronic music in Jena and beyond the city limits. Besides the latest scene trends and record presentations, studio guests are a big part of the show.
