Ines shares a love for jazz, soul, funk, disco & latin and hosts a regular show called RE:LOVE on @radioelectronicajena She can also be found spinning records at bars across her home city such as @tanz_bar and in other cities across Poland.

Here’s what Ines had to say about her musical background and love of records:

“Music has always been the deepest love of mine. As a young kid, I played simple melodies on the piano and was absolutely crazy about my parents' old gramophone. That led me to pursue a classical path in music and a diploma in music teaching and performance. Meanwhile, I fell in love with disco, boogie & jazz and became a dj. I value the vinyl record as a format because it encourages you to delve into a track or an album from start till finish and - in a way - you can touch the music. Vinyl offers a romance around music that is pretty difficult to beat.”

lur Records returns to present the debut of German DJ and Producer Jan Witte, who delivers a wonderful EP entitled "Second Try" featuring 3 remixes by the outstanding producers T.Markakis, Simon Hinter and ColorJaxx.

The first and only original track "Second Try" is undoubtedly a very special one, reminiscing early 2000s house classics, it features dreamy deep chords and subtle percussive passages, displaying a complex bass arrangement and sophisticated swings.

The first remix of "Second Try" is by the prolific Greek producer - T.Markakis, who delivers a driving pumping track with expansive drum work on the original, with an elaborated bassline and a trademark style that characterizes T.Markakis sound.

Next, we have the second remix by German wunderkind - Simon Hinter - who delivers a true reinterpretation of the original track, with a more oriented garage bassline, slick drum work and infectious synthesizers. A composition finely remixed.

To close the release we have the last remix featuring Belgium producer ColorJaxx, a very well-achieved composition on its own, paying a beautiful homage to the original one with its progressive pads in conjunction with the reworked bassline showcasing the artist's capability for remix assignments.

Since then, his 5 EPs for them have all scored Top 3 hit's on Beatport's Techno (Raw / Deep) charts. RADIO ELECTRONICA was one of the first independent radio programmes to go on air in Jena in 1999. The background was to bring colour into the dreary Thuringian radio programme and to create a platform where regional and national artists from the electronic music scene could present themselves and exchange ideas. RADIO ELECTRONICA claims to be always on the trail of new influences, trends and artists in the field of electronic music.

The show quickly developed from the first pre-productions to a live broadcast, which can be heard every four weeks on Saturdays from 7pm to midnight on the open channel Jena on UKW 103.4 Mhz and via online stream (https://radio-okj.de/wp-content/themes/radiookj/okj-player.html).

With a steadily growing fan base, RADIO ELECTRONICA is still a firm institution in the field of electronic music in Jena and beyond the city limits. Besides the latest scene trends and record presentations, studio guests are a big part of the show.
