Having popped up in the deep house scene a few years ago with banger releases on labels such as Quietelegance, OYE Black, Nomada Records, Seismographic Records to name a few, he is now in charge of the label portrait mix from Sounds Over Seas that will release a new vinyl compilation, including many tracks in the beginning of this exclusive mix. 

Martin is also an accomplished DJ with several mixtapes recorded for brands around the world, and for this many reason and more we invited him to be our very special guest for the 99th edition of the Blur Podcasts, which is now live our Soundcloud, Youtube and Apple Podcast pages.

Lee Graves is a Washington, DC based DJ and music producer. He has produced and performed underground dance music for over a decade and is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist.
He holds a degree in music production and recording from a western-style music conservatory, and has performed internationally from a young age.

He is exceptionally passionate about his high standard for performances and recordings, and uses his background in audio engineering to raise the bar for DJs around the world. His unique sound and musicality is defined by his careful selection of both music and gear.

You will find Lee Graves performing on a variety of digital and analog gear, including performances of all vinyl DJ sets. His ability to perform on analog turntables has made him a natural fit in historic underground dance music scenes. He regularly performs in Brooklyn, NY where vinyl DJing is still alive and well.

As a father and husband, he hopes to share his passion for music with his daughter as she grows up. His young family has been his focus in recent years, but Lee Graves has started to emerge as a budding house music producer and is committed to building his international presence.

Lee is well-versed in numerous underground dance music genres and plays a mix of deep house, classic house, tech house, funky house, disco, funk, disco house, and jackin' house, to name a few. This allows him to easily adapt his sound and cater to a wide variety of crowds. He strives to set himself apart as one of the most versatile, professional, and hard working DJs around.

Raised in Berlin, influenced by a dancing mother and a bass-intensive father, music meant everything to shimanski from an early age.
Since 2020 she has been a resident DJ of the Disco Bizarre crew, which is famous for their legendary shows at KitKatClub.

Blur Records returns to present the Angolan DJ, Producer and label boss - Fred Aster - and his brand new EP entitled "Summer Madness" featuring a vocal mix with lyricist Postnegative and remixes by Donnie Moustaki, HATT.D and Selva.

Having made his debut in 2020 with his 1989 LP, Fred Aster returns with a jazzy hip-hop-based track, including both an instrumental and vocal mix by Malawian lyricist Postnegative.

The first remix is by the uniquely talented Swiss producer Donnie Moustaki, delivering a perfect jazzy reinterpretation of the original, with a masterful playful and irresistible piano composition that dropped us all on the floor at Blur Records headquarters.

The second remix duty is by the Dutch wonderful producer HATT.D, who delivers a "Boombap remix", a production style prominent in the late '80s, including the Postnegative vocal mix in what is a wonderful and fresh re-write of the original.

The last remix is by the artist hailing from Merica, Selva, who drops a house-based reinterpretation featuring dusty drums, dishevelled percussion and the recognizable groovy sounds of South America, closing this wonderful and quirky EP.

RADIO ELECTRONICA was one of the first independent radio programmes to go on air in Jena in 1999. The background was to bring colour into the dreary Thuringian radio programme and to create a platform where regional and national artists from the electronic music scene could present themselves and exchange ideas. RADIO ELECTRONICA claims to be always on the trail of new influences, trends and artists in the field of electronic music.

The show quickly developed from the first pre-productions to a live broadcast, which can be heard every four weeks on Saturdays from 7pm to midnight on the open channel Jena on UKW 103.4 Mhz and via online stream (https://radio-okj.de/wp-content/themes/radiookj/okj-player.html).

With a steadily growing fan base, RADIO ELECTRONICA is still a firm institution in the field of electronic music in Jena and beyond the city limits. Besides the latest scene trends and record presentations, studio guests are a big part of the show.
