Blur Records is proud to present the Subotica-based, Serbian DJ and producer - Frikardo - and his excellent 4 track EP entitled "Have Me" including two stunning remixes by producers Sweet Fruity Brunch and Decent Rides.

The first track entitled "Have Me" is immediately recognized by its rugged sampling style, featuring a distinctive saxophone, pacey drums and a driving sub boom bass, in a classic display of quintessential lofi house.

The second track "Hot Take" possesses the kind of disco drive that seems to have been assembled through an impenetrable chemical reaction, with its percussive brush strokes, vox effects and seductive bass, giving it a distinct construct that perfects encapsulates the artists attention to detail and form.

The third track "Jazz Particle" is an intelligent blend of deep house lofi and minimalism, with its dreamy chords, funky fuelled bass and shimmering piano patterns, wrapping up a compelling bit of work that stands out in any mix set.

The last original track "They Aint Playin" is a superbly executed and elegant jazz track, with sleek rhythmic production, minimal piano composition and distinctive bass, proving the artist has a rich understanding of making creativity meet complexity.

The first remix duty is by the Munich-based duo - Decent Rides - who deliver an exquisite reinterpretation of "Have Me", showcasing hefty musicianship, developing a new drum setup and an elaborated bassline with trade mark synth stabs.

Last but not least, to close this release we have the final remix assignment by the incredibly talented Swiss producer - Sweet Fruity Brunch - who delivers a masterful fast-paced house reinterpretation of "They Aint Playin", working brilliantly on another level with its quirky groove and odd textures. Lofi, jazzy, exquisitely remixed.

Soulboy ( real name Fusi Ratjhabedi Morake ) began his career as a DJ in 2012 whilst Studying at high school doing Grade 11.
It’s seems the love for music took precedence as the young soulboy began Collecting Music.
Being bitten by the music bug in his formative years soulboy became part of a house music Group SoulFeeders Session in 2015 to pursue his solo career.
It was the year 2017 when he went to Southern African Music Conference that became q defining juncture in SoulBoy’s music path. When he caught the ear of Mr Ndade (Faro Entertainment Co-founder ) whom since became his devoted mentor , thanks to the relationship with Klein & Dj Stubi.

To Date , the Qwaqwa born Fusi Ratjhabedi Morake has had the honour to perform at various Venues across South Africa 🇿🇦 alongside South African legends such as Dj Christo, Vinny da Vince, Dj China ,Dj Ganyani, Oscar Mbo, SculpturedMusic,Pit la Cat , Lee da Cocktail, EnoSoul, Dj Terrence music box, Umngomezulu.to name but a few , as well as International Acts Rocco , Atjazz on his solo path since breaking away from the group SoulFeeders session .Soulboy has since done live recorde mixtapes for different underground Session’s , which enjoyed great our play.

The fourth FRI release will be out by the end of September with an EP that carries the right amount of emotion for the season. It could be said that La Riff provided the ideal soundtrack for the end of summer.

La Riff delivers four tracks that offer a plethora of Sun Haze-like textures and pads that are smoothly combined with juicy basslines that meld into a solid house drum groove foundation.

The EP "Smooth Dancer" captures La Riff's current production and musical sensibility as he expands his sound into the deeper house grooves while maintaining his ability to tastefully blend slices of disco and funk influences.

The second track, Perchey's L'Observatorie, stands out as an excellent fit for the FRI concept, with La Riff successfully utilizing characteristic electro elements such as Roland 808 's for drum rhythm and a classic 303 electro bassline beneath lush chords, setting a feeling of nostalgic tone.

As the third and fourth tracks, respectively, Waxy and Cosmic Dust share a deep house sound aesthetic. La Riff effectively accomplished this by incorporating organic instruments like sax and flutes with glimpses of progressive basslines as a key ingredient for the resulting sound of an EP suitable for beach house music themes.

RADIO ELECTRONICA was one of the first independent radio programmes to go on air in Jena in 1999. The background was to bring colour into the dreary Thuringian radio programme and to create a platform where regional and national artists from the electronic music scene could present themselves and exchange ideas. RADIO ELECTRONICA claims to be always on the trail of new influences, trends and artists in the field of electronic music.

The show quickly developed from the first pre-productions to a live broadcast, which can be heard every four weeks on Saturdays from 7pm to midnight on the open channel Jena on UKW 103.4 Mhz and via online stream (https://radio-okj.de/wp-content/themes/radiookj/okj-player.html).

With a steadily growing fan base, RADIO ELECTRONICA is still a firm institution in the field of electronic music in Jena and beyond the city limits. Besides the latest scene trends and record presentations, studio guests are a big part of the show.
