Nick is a DJ/Promoter who has been an ambassador of Dance Music in the Caribbean for the better part of the last two decades. While currently based in Trinidad & Tobago, he has garnered experience as well, playing regularly in cities like Montreal and Toronto.

Starting at a young age, Nick’s sound has evolved and changed over time but has settled in the general realm of Progressive.

While he plays many genres of Electronic music: House, Progressive, Techno, Tech House Deep House, Indie Dance and more, the general mixing style implored features long transitions with lots of layers and a strong focus on the roles of tension and release in any listening/dancing experience.

Nick draws inspiration from legendary figures such as Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Elke Kleijn, Patrice Baumel, Nick Warren and Sasha to name a few. He has also had the opportunity over the years to open for acts like Dash Berlin, Cosmic Gate, 4 Strings, Gareth Emery and Elke Kleijn.

Steeped in the afterhours culture of Montreal, marinated in the festival scene in the states and honed in on his homeland of Trinidad and Tobago, Nick has now also turned to the promotion side of the business and is a co-founder of the very popular event company Sunsetters.

Sunsetters was formed in 2016 and currently boasts an annual calendar of boat cruises, warehouse raves and a camping festival. With hundreds of attendees, Sunsetters see’s a bright future for Dance Music in the Caribbean.

RADIO ELECTRONICA was one of the first independent radio programmes to go on air in Jena in 1999. The background was to bring colour into the dreary Thuringian radio programme and to create a platform where regional and national artists from the electronic music scene could present themselves and exchange ideas. RADIO ELECTRONICA claims to be always on the trail of new influences, trends and artists in the field of electronic music.

The show quickly developed from the first pre-productions to a live broadcast, which can be heard every four weeks on Saturdays from 7pm to midnight on the open channel Jena on UKW 103.4 Mhz and via online stream (https://radio-okj.de/wp-content/themes/radiookj/okj-player.html).

With a steadily growing fan base, RADIO ELECTRONICA is still a firm institution in the field of electronic music in Jena and beyond the city limits. Besides the latest scene trends and record presentations, studio guests are a big part of the show.
