Мої думки:

З повномасштабною війною мені здавалося, що зовсім закину займатися музикою. Через цілодобові обстріли Миколаєва і щоб зберегти життя та ментальне здоров'я, вирішила тоді тимчасово переїхати до Одеси. Живучи там, у мене переважав різний емоційний стан, тому що сумуєш за своїм рідним домом, за своїми близькими і не знаєш, чого чекати далі з думками: "а чи повернусь я назад?". І щоб хоч якось абстрагуватися, я стала поступово повертатися у своє русло, прогулюючись набережною моря, шукала у всьому натхнення: написала пару треків, і, звичайно, слухати своїх улюблених українських електронних продюсерів та виконавців, які увійшли до цього міксу. І цей мікс характеризує досі мій стан під час війни. І зараз через свою творчість артисти розповідають про нашу війну, про те, як нам складно та як болить ця рана кожному українцю.

Юлія Riot is a sound producer, DJ and music lover from Миколаїв. She started her music career in 2015, from playing on the local stage. Julia believes that music has no boundaries. Юлія prefers experimental electronic pop sound in the production of her tracks. He characterizes his musical activity precisely as the expectation of the result of some plot or the solution of a riddle, a mystery. As a DJ, she plays tribal, electro, downtempo, acid, trance, recording mixes and wirks with various radio platforms. Resident and presenter of the program about the Belgian New Beat sound on Gasoline Radio.

My thoughts:

From the beginning of the full-scale war, it seemed to me that I would completely abandon music. Because of the round-the-clock shelling of Миколаїв and in order to preserve life and mental health, I decided then to temporarily move to Odesa. Living there, I had a different emotional state; because I miss my home, and my loved ones and don't know what to expect next, with thoughts: "will I come back?". And in order to somehow distract myself, I began to gradually return to the mainstream, walking along the sea embankment, looking for inspiration in everything: I wrote a couple of tracks and, of course, listened to my favorite Ukrainian electronic producers and performers who entered this mix. And this mix characterizes my condition during the war so far. And now, through their creativity, artists talk about our war, about how difficult it is for us, and how this wound hurts every Ukrainian.

This work is about the feeling of space and the imitation of another reality achieved through audio immersion in it. The composition leads us through a surreal landscape/architectural maze, giving a sense of tactile interaction with its textures and materials.

d. towärds is an artist from Samara, a member of the Oblast collective, a musician and a multimedia artist. Dmitry uses his architectural background in his researches, in his works he is searching for the connection between space, sound and volume, he also works with graphics and paper architecture.

Waste Of Space 02: d. towärds

Cinna Peyghamy is a composer and sound artist, born in France from Iranian parents. His debut album ‘Gamut’ released in 2017 under the moniker Cikkun, soon followed by the EP ‘Injonctions’. Both showcased a unique turn on IDM and bass music’s standard as the young producer started to implement what would define his sound : fragmented rhythms, severe pattern seizure, abrasive melodies and abyssal mood swings. 
Born within the parisian experimental/noise scene, his live act gravited more and more towards full-on improvisations with self-made sound devices : true to his scientific and programming background, Cinna Peyghamy creates and designs unique instruments, from DIY synthesizers and soundboxes to motor-based mechanical structures that serves as tools for his compositions, performances and sound installations. 
Leaving his alias and performing under his full name since 2019, his recent work focuses on blending the boundaries between acoustic and electronic instruments. 
The tombak, a traditional persian percussion, is enhanced by the sonic possibilities of the modular synthesizer. Cinna leads the dialogue between these two sonic entities and explores the never-ending improvisation field created by this hybrid setup.

Two detained monarchy reform activists have announced that they will be dry fasting to demand bail for every political prisoner, after there was no response to the demands they made when they revoked their own bail on Monday (16 January)

They called for reform of judicial system so that human rights and freedom of expression take priority, and so that courts are independent and protect people’s freedom, as well as for judges to make decisions without intervention from their own executives.
They also called for all charges against those exercising their freedoms of expression and assembly to be dropped, and for every political party to back the repeal of the royal defamation law and sedition law to guarantee people’s right, freedom, and political participation.

Pisitakun is a Thai visual artist who started playing music with an interest in how expressions shape under different media environments. Historical events, synthetic sounds, and musical instruments inspire his songs. Pisitakun's practice represents a decisive break from many of his Thai peers in time when the country's history unfolds under an ongoing martial law since the military coup d'état on 22 May 2014 - he questions fundamental and increasingly universal values without merely decrying the fact of corruption or offering neat palliatives. His works are based on political speculation and the external and internal
frustrations artists are subject to.
He has performed at CTM Festival (Berlin, Germany), Asian Meeting Festival (Tokyo, Japan), MEIA (Aveiro, Portugal), Spaziomusica Festival (Cagliari, Italy), Cafe OTO (London, UK), and SHAPE+ platform 2022.
Most of his sound works are self-released and on Cambodia/UK label Chinabot. He is currently selected for an artist residency at DAAD Artist-in-Berlin Music & Sound 2023.

Hadi Bastani is a sound artist, anthropologist, and composer. Spanning spatial composition, live performance, and installation art, his creative outputs have been represented through international festivals, residencies, radio broadcasts, podcasts, and workshops, including Klangteppich (Berlin), Sonorities (Belfast), TADAEX (Tehran), the BBC, Resonance FM, and Deutschlandfunk Kultur. His scholarship and creative practice engage with combined affordances of ethnography and practice-led research in sound to explore, examine, and articulate socio-technological, spatio-material, and affective assemblages that underpin different people’s sonic experiences and expressions, in the broadest sense to include musicking processes, focusing on the post-revolutionary-Iran. His investigation of contemporary Iranian experimental electronic music practice (2015-2019) has formed the first comprehensive research on the subject and culminated in a book that will be published through Routledge in 2024

These raw recordings were made in and around Belfast, for the purposes of a sound library that was compiled for a soundscape intervention project commissioned by the Northern Ireland Hospice in the summer of 2015. All sounds were recorded using a Zoom F4 digital recorder and Sennheiser MKH 418-S microphones.

The project was led at the Sonic Arts Research Centre, Queen's University Belfast. It consisted of a series of sound installations created for different public spaces in the Hospice using wall-mounted and garden speakers. The installations were patched through a programme written in MAX/MSP, which allowed for the playback of the audio files according to a specific schedule agreed upon with the Hospice’s management.

Belfast is a city that still deals with ‘troubles’. Creating soundscapes that appeal to a mixed crowd of residents at the hospice posed various cultural and technical challenges. To overcome these, we organised several workshops in order to explain the project to the residents, play them sounds, and gather detailed feedback. The final installations were a fine-tuned response to the hospice residents' feedback, the majority of whom are no longer with us.

Born and raised in Barcelona, Arnau Montserrat has always been passionate about arts and their relationship to new technologies. In 2016, after finishing his studies in audiovisual systems engineering at Pompeu Fabra University, he decided to move to Berlin with the desire to find a place to investigate new artistic possibilities and began his studies in "Sound Studies and Sonic Arts" at the Berlin University of the Arts. Parallel to his activities as a sound artist he is also involved in different projects as curator and organizer of cultural and artistic events in different parts of the world.

As a sound and new media artist, he designs soundscapes for performing arts and multimedia installations, exploring the role of sound in each of them and their possible interactions. The result of a collaboration with the artists involved, is an investigation of new multidisciplinary and transversal forms of artistic expression. The bridge he aims to create between sound and new media art allows for a deeper dialogue.

Nilotpal Das also known as Bios Contrast presents 20 minutes of released and upcoming music and is interested in the process of making music and what to make. 
 
Nilotpal Das was born on 27th September 2001 in Kolkata, India. At the age of 16, he started listening to various records and got into learning electronic music production through Youtube tutorials and improvisation. By 2016 he had begun making electronic music and started doing unpaid DJ performances with his childhood friend Rohan Thakuri. Not long after the venture through electronic music, his music shifted towards instrumental and performance-oriented. In 2020 he started his solo project Bios Contrast to seek how he can experiment with storytelling through sonic pieces, real events, and physical objects.

Hello, My name is Nilotpal Das I live in Kolkata and started making dubstep around late 2016 and later got into improvising, experimenting and composing with traditional and live instruments while also building prototypes for my own instruments. I'm currently working on two project one is called 'Bios Contrast' and another one under my own name where I will release a 12 hour Harmonium Drone album. The track you're about to hear is from the sequel to my previous album 'Dragon Rising' and was made using a prototype woodwind instrument together with guitar and effects

My main works revolve around exploring the past and discovering thier languages, how they lived and what were the events that led to thier destruction I find these concepts really facinating though I have a certain way of doing things, I'm sometimes not quite sure what I'm doing with my music I feel like I have too many ideas and I'm too strict on what I want to work on, part of the reason I think is because I don't recieve any kind of constructive criticism or feedback on my work in short I'm looking for bad reviews because that way I will atleast have a different point of view on my music other than my own.

I always wanted to play my Harmonium with my two hands so a few weeks earlier an idea very spontaniously came down that if I could install my spare 8000 rpm cpu fan at the back of my harmonium I could play it with both my hands without having to vello it. 
 
Wrapping this up mix or whatever you may call this, another unreleased track called 'Forgotten Waters' it was composed only using the harmonium and running the cpu through very high resitance wires and will be out via another compilation on Swiss noise label Czarnagora I don't know how it's pronouced pardon my language.
