The demure appearance of Romanian artist Praslea belies his deep involvement in the music industry. With his name appearing on top events, especially in his home town of Bucharest, circa 2007, Florin Cunțan is a certified don of our scene. Having been inducted into the [a:pia:r] clique from an early age his “Jurnal De Bord” EP way back in 2009 he has hardly been prolific, but this is not where his real talent lies. With his solo credentials above reproach, it is par for the course for Praslea and his peers to perform together even at the biggest of events. So, it is hardly surprising that two artists from this family should join forces on the regular and that partnership is Praslesh. His latest release on his self-titled imprint, 'B.Love', is a showcase of his funk-infused, sample-heavy production style and is sure to be in many DJ's bags this summer.

This live recording from last year's Gottwood features the first hour of B.Love's set, and we're super excited to share it with you. Showcasing an eclectic selection in his signature funky style, B.Love's sundown set on the 'Curve' really had the crowd moving from start to finish and is a moment that still lingers in our minds

We’re celebrating something special today as the Hot Series marks its twentieth iteration courtesy of a duo we’ve had on our radar since the inception of the label. Going back to back in time with this one as @maitoooo & @bjeor take charge of the next one in the series, providing us with a recording of their set at La Cabane from a couple of months ago. Both contribute to the Belgian nightlife scene in a multitude of ways, which led them to cross paths at @horstartsandmusicfestival where the pair quickly saw eye to eye and formed a connection on & off the decks.

As you would expect from these two, their shared love for house music fully comes to fruition in this masterfully curated mix with each contributing his own intricate layers to create a beautiful tale of emotion and sound. A warm up set is always tricky to do well, but Max & Toon demonstrate their mastery and prove why they love to play warm up sets, especially the long ones. Over a floaty three and a half hour journey, the duo ascend to 125bpm, maintaining a deep and steady orbit that perfectly set the tone for the night’s stellar festivities. Both can be seen traversing Belgium’s festival landscape this summer. Among other party spots, you’ll catch Maito at @club_affair and Bjeor at this year’s @paradise-city-festival . See you there ;)
