From Lebanon to Palestine with Songs, Stones, Dances and Love. I want to Sing" were Souha Bechara's last words before her imminent execution. Held and tortured in the notorious Khiam Prison in occupied South Lebanon since she was 21. Souha would spend 10 years of her life behind bars in an Israelirun prison for her attempt to assassinate the murderous general of the South Lebanon Army; a militia which was funded by Israel. But Souha was never executed, as Israel retreated from South Lebanon after 23 years of occupation. Suddenly free, in a part of Lebanon that was as free as she. This set is a tribute to Freedom. This set is a tribute to the struggle for Liberation. This set is a singing homage to a land whose name is Filastin.

L’invention de l’homosexualité et la naturalisation de l’hétérosexualité comme norme du désir humain sont des évolutions liées à la modernité occidentale. Les expressions du désir homosexuel dans les sociétés arabes contemporaines sont-elles dès lors une continuation de l’homoérotisme, si présent dans les textes arabes prémodernes, ou le résultat d’une mondialisation des concepts et des comportements ? L’idée que la préférence sexuelle est constitutive d’une identité qui à son tour détermine un sentiment d’appartenance communautaire est-elle dans le monde arabe une simple importation ?
